Looks like the 1st event took place at the throne room of the Royal Palace.
 
The Degradation of Pelès Castle is 40 % ( the balcony, Statues , walls inside and outside. Who will pay their Renovation ?
 
Today in Bucharest, Messrs. Dragnea and Popescu Tăriceanu, Presidents of the Chamber of Deputies and Senate, respectively, have finally submitted to Parliament the legislation that would give concrete status to the Royal House in Romanian society. The bill would give the Head of the Romanian Royal House, as determined by the new House Law of 2007, the position of a former head of state. This law was originally proposed in Summer of 2016 before the death of Queen Anne.

Prince Radu, Princess Elena, Princess Sofia ,Princess Maria and Mr Alexander Nixon attended also at the event.

Interesting to see 4 of the 5 Princesses out in public and interesting that they have any role at all with the Corps Diplomatique.

Sorry to say the link did not work for me. Could it be that for some unknown reason that the crown princess is making sure everyone knows who is in charge and the the presence of the royal family is out there for all to see?

On the contrary, I'd say that the presence of all four princesses - and their spouses in the case of the married ones - is a heartening statement that the Royal House is not at all as divided as certain journalists would have us believe. Irina's absence is understandable. Does anyone know if she can now travel freely again and has been able to be with her Father and sisters in Switzerland? I hope so.
 
The venue was impressive. What is "the Royal Palace"? It did not look it was at Elisabeta Palace.

The program for this year

"Her Majesty Margareta, Crown Custodian and Prince Radu will be Savarsin at Christmas and New Year's Day. All four of his Majesty's sisters wanted to be at the castle, along with Crown Custodians, in this year-end marked by the great suffering of their father's loss, King Mihai.

With great regret, being in a mourning period, the Royal Family will not be able to receive, as in previous years, the carols at the Royal Castle.

The only exception will be the Dubasians from Savarsin, which will be expected, as every year, at 12.00, on the eve (December 24, 2017), in the fountain market within the Royal Village. The Dubasians will not sing their ancestral wishes, but will retain a moment of silence in the memory of His Majesty King Mihai I in the presence of the Royal Family.

At the entrance to the Săvârşin Royal Domain, the book of condolences remains open, even on Christmas days, along with the portrait of King Mihai I and a lit candle, until the 40 days of great mourning.

The Royal Family will take part, on the morning of December 25th, at the great ministry of the first Christmas day at the Orthodox church in the commune."

Today CP Margareta, Prince Radu accompanied by Princess Elena, by Irina, By Princess Sofia and by Princess Maria, they gave Christmas gifts to the employees of Royal House and their families. The meeting took place in the Great Dining Room of Elisabeta Palace.

So lovely to see all the sisters together !!

The calandars they were handing out looked very interesting and seem to have had King Ferdinand on the cover?

Today December 26, Her Majesty Margareta, Crown Custodian, along with Prince Radu, Princess Elena, Princess Maria, and Irina took part in the Christmas Day service at the Orthodox Church in Savarsin.
Also Locals and visitors from neighboring counties continue to go to the castle to light a candle and sign in the book of condolences.

Received Christmas wishes from Romania. People don't understand the huge amount poor Romania paid for an ex King Funerals.
They are working in Eforie and Mangalia in Romanian Thermalisme and the ex royals don't interest them. .

Of course, that is the opinion from these people. At the same time we all could see a surprisingly big participation of the people in Romania. So the conclusion: everyone has his/her own particulier opinion and it is hard to generalize it for the whole of Romania.

The public during the funeral procession

My thought crossed to the funeral of Queen Fabiola: in an empty, sad and desolate Brussels and Laeken. What does that say? It is so difficult to draw conclusions.
 
Not all Romanians are monarchists and the effects of the communist propaganda hasn't disappeared completely. It's a fact though that many paid respects to the late King.

It is just a family picture with all children and grandchildren of the late King. Come on Cory.

None of them are of any importance anyway, since you demand respect for the last Royal Constitution of Romania, meaning that the new Royal Family is formed by the ones living at Schloss Sigmaringen in Baden-Württemberg...

This is a photo with the King's Family but unfortunately the dialogue between the different members in the phone us not always easy.
We do not speak about dynastic rights but about the Family.

In a short time the children and grandchildren have lost a mother, grandmother, a father and grandfather. That is what this beautiful and intimate family-picture shows. Nothing wrong with it. This was the situation at that moment.

Let's hope the grandchildren and the great-grandchildren will try to imitate the late King.
 
Not one of the grandchildren and great-grandchildren was present.
 
Well, this isn't really a news, is it? It's quite sad, but the absence of grandchildren and great-grandchildren of King Michael and Queen Anne has been the norm in the past few years...
