Perfect - she knows how to dress appropriately as a royal and as a Queen. Simple and elegant with little details round the neckline and edges of the jacket that elevate it

I think this outfit suits Sofia Sr. perfectly for her age and occasion. I dont like that both Queens wore the same colour, they should have coordinated beforehand.

With them both wearing exactly the same shade of pink I'd be surprised if it wasn't coordinated? Well at least that was my first thought when I saw them both for the first time in the same colour.

I agree with you, this was Queen Sofia's moment and Letizia decided to use the same pink theme instead of letting Sofia have it. Letizia had an extensive wardrobe and both reside on the Zarzuela complex, she could have changed colors.

There were no other female recipients. Otherwise, they might have worn court dress as well?!
