The first outfit was really nice , the second one I wasn't so keen on and the floral jacket looks dated.
Victoria has been the temporary regent since November 2 and the state visit was announced on November 3, of course the state visit had decided before the King and Queen left Sweden.I like the colour and the motifs of her gown… I wish she would have worn more substantial jewellery than that though… I guess it may have something to do with this state visit having been decided and booked while they were already abroad as they haven’t been in Sweden for the entire november…
She has started wearing cape’s to dinners more often in recent years so i suppose she is freezing easily.
Noticed that too. Wonder why she had not gowns desgined who are more covered up and don't have so big necklines. And with warmer materials. She has started wearing cape’s to dinners more often in recent years so i suppose she is freezing easily.
As it seems that Silvia recycles her evening gowns, it could be that a gown is perfect for the temperature at one venue, but somewhere else there is a need to add a shawl/cape, as at the Nobel Banquet this year. It's easier to add something when needed than to remove things. I haven't been at the Stockholm Concert Hall, but I've attended concerts in the Gothenburg Concert Hall, which has about the same amount of seats as there was at the Nobel Prize ceremony, and when a concert was sold out, it got very warm in there. I have visited the Stockholm City Hall, and the Blue Hall, and it's 22 metre up to the ceiling, and the floor area is 1500 square metre, so it could easily get a bit chilly sitting there during a long dinner.Noticed that too. Yes, I've been to a few banquets at the City Hall and it does get a bit chilly due to the ventilation and the high ceiling. I would not chose a dress with bare shoulders. As it seems that Silvia recycles her evening gowns, it could be that a gown is perfect for the temperature at one venue, but somewhere else there is a need to add a shawl/cape, as at the Nobel Banquet this year. And the colour too is very regal , a perfect look by the impeccable queen.Lovely gown, fits like a glove. Nice backdrop to give the amethysts a good showing
The top is nice, but the trouser is horribleThe green is very nice and festive looking on Queen Silvia!
