Not just you. It’s not a look I care for at all. The boots and cultures do not work for me.Not convinced I am on board with boots and culottes, but perhaps that is just me!
I love this look! So glad she stepped outside the box. It is incredibly chic. And, btw, boots and culottes is a bit of a vintage look. She pulls it off! Again, not every royal look has to include a predictable hat and a coat dress (even if it the same style in a different color) - which can many times look dated and stuffy!! A modern royal woman can most certainly step outside the predictable and still be classy, classic, chic and regal. Queen Mary does that wonderfully. And during this trip, Queen Mary showed a great range of looks and still looked regal. This outfit is right on! She rocks it! To me it works perfectly in Paris. How nice that Mary goes outside the box and dares and has fun.
I love it
In your opinion she looked fabulous and on point throughout the visit, myself and others disagree and that is allowed.Queen Mary looked fabulous and on point throughout the entire visit! She knew the assignment of each day and met the task. And yes, impressive for a woman with 4 children to still be able to do elegant, classy, regal and high fashion - and to even be able to step out of the predictable royal box with her clothing! A true modern royal woman. Not every event requires a bespoke coat dress, stiff hat and raiding of the royal jewelry vaults to wear evening jewels during a day event. I think some pearls need to be unclutched when it comes to royal fashion.
The Queen was in no way inappropriately dressed for any of the events. In fact, she pretty much matched the tone of the other attendees, including Mrs. Macron, who was the host.
Oh and Queen Mary is not just a lady who had 4 children. She is accomplished in her own right. She is more than just a mother. In fact, while wearing great fashion and having, at one point, 4 children under the age of 6, she managed to keep a full diary of engagements, travel abroad, work with her foundation to get actual lasting initiatives and programs based on studies conducted via her foundation, make humanitarian trips and gradually take over (along with Frederik) many of the tasks of QMII. And all the while evolving and elevating her style as a modern royal woman.
She looked fabulous in Paris. And her best accessory, imo - her self-confidence and self-assurance. She knows who she is and her clothes is a way she projects that. She is not cosplaying what she thinks people expect of a royal woman - she just is a royal woman in 2025. Kudos to her.
Today is World Tartan Day. Mary the Scotswoman honours her roots with today's outfit.![]()
She looks adorable. Love the tartan connection. I have a feeling it is Frederik's hat that is now Mary's hat. Good luck getting to back. Lol. Love the tartan connection.Oh i like that connection.
It seems Mary know her stuff.
She looks nice.
Love the pop of color of the shirt.
this is not the first time she's used the hat. Did she borrow it from Frederik? Was it always hers and Frederik borrowed it? Or do they have a matching set?![]()
Its a really lovely colour on Mary and such a nice neat hairstyle too.Oooh, what a gorgeous suit and a lovely colour. Just as I think she can’t look more stylish, she goes and does it again.
We have, you are of course right!I LOVE this skirt! I believe we have seen it with a different blouse before.
