Thank you @Izzie more info on the Countess Danner Collection
"It was a great pleasure for us to see the Queen honouring Countess Danner by actually wearing Countess Danner's earrings to the opening.
In the Treasury here at Rosenborg Castle we have a very special jewelry set from Grevinde Danner, but which has only now been used again. The exceptional set is more than 165 years old and was a gift from the then Frederik 7. to his much loved wife, Lensgrevinde Louise Danner - or Countess Danner, as most of us Danes know her - in 1860.
...
Since then, the beautiful set has been exhibited in the Treasury here under Rosenborg Castle, until now, when the Queen has put parts of the set to use. The first time was when the Queen inaugurated the new monument to Countess Danner in Copenhagen back in November 2024 and again at the Royal couple's state visit to Finland and again today at the opening of the current exhibition about Countess Danner.
When the Queen doesn't wear the jewelry, they can be seen here in the Treasury under Rosenborg Castle."

Such a beautiful set of jewels! So glad that Queen Mary is showcasing it outside of the glass case at Rosenborg. The pieces look beautiful on her. Cannot wait to see her wearing the necklace, which is spectacular!

Queen Mary's love of history through jewelry is becoming very apparent with her venturing deep into the vaults of the DRF jewels. Who know what else lies in those vaults that no one has seen in centuries!

I really love that Mary wears jewellery that QMII kept in the vault and very often has a historical connection.

Excellent choice of the pearl brooch for the liberation service - and very smilier to Maxima's for her own country's events

Wasn't that also worn on the recent trip to France?
Its a really lovely and historic piece too.

I do wonder if we will see Mary in more pieces from the Dinner collection - the necklace is a large statement piece and would be interesting to see how she could wear it

Agreed. I would love to see Mary wear the necklace from the Danner parure.

Does Queen Mary still have this tiara in her possession? Will we see Queen Mary in this tiara again? I know this tiara is on a long-term loan, but since she now has more options she may not wear this tiara anymore. The first time Mary wore the Midnight Tiara was in 2009.

Mary does not own that tiara herself but can wear it when requested as part of the agreement with the jeweller.

I thought the pairing of the tiara with the soft pink shade of the dress in 2009 was a wonderful look.

Its not a particular favourite of mine and I thought the price tag (reportedly €300k) is rather expensive.

I can't imagine we will see her wear this again now she is Queen when she has access to many more tiaras - would be interesting if the arrangement continued for her daughters to use it
I also don't think Mary will wear this tiara again, as she now has access to the royal family's historic jewels and many more options to wear. Maybe the agreement will continue and her daughters will be able to wear this tiara.

Info on the jewellery Mary received on her visit to the Faroe Islands and worn to the dinner on the first evening
