I believe there is a gala concert on the 10th so that may bring out the bling. Also, there is another dinner on 9/23 as well. I cannot recall right now the particulars of that dinner. I think it is for government officials.

I wish it didn't get translated in English as "moldy scrubber". But what a beautiful horse. Wonder if we will hear the name.
 
It's a good name and it looked like everyone was enjoying themselves at the ceremony. I'm surprised there was no Benedikte — except if this horse ever "disappears" briefly, she will be the prime suspect. :lol:

Interesting video. Frederik is bolting down that carpet on a mission. So he didn't pose om the res carpet with Mary or the rest of the family. Mary, Marie and Benedikte look fantastic!

There is now an official explanation as to why Frederik rushed down the carpet and past several family members.
He was indeed supposed to have entered the concert gall in Tivoli with his mother but:

"What happened was that Crown Prince Frederik had answered a call of nature. On the way up the stairs he learns that the Queen is about to enter the concert hall. He hurries in order not to be late. Totally undramatic."

Inconvenient timing to have to take a tinkle...but when you gotta go, you gotta go. So the plan was for him to escort the Queen up the red carpet and into the hall. Hey, things happen. No harm, no foul. :whistling:
 
Poor Frederik! Most people have been "caught short", but it's a bit embarrassing for it to be spelt out like that on the Tivoli social media pages!

It came about because one tabloid suggested he was running from the press rather than answering questions about Herlufsholm. - Which is of course nonsense. He could merely have declined to answer any questions and it's not like Frederik to leave his wife behind to face the press on her own.
Anyway AFAIK there were no questions (answered) about Herlufsholm.

- I also find it difficult to see what else they could say, that hasn't already been said. because there really is no more news about Herlufsholm.
- It has however emerged that some other high schools have a culture of the eldest class bullying at least to some extent the younger classes. (There are three classes in DK high schools.) That is now being investigated and cracked down upon. And certainly on why teachers have not interfered and how they should interfere in the future. - You'd think that would be obvious but it clearly isn't.

Poor Frederik that his bladder is blog fodder. But, all things considered, if that is the biggest drama the DRF/CPC have..well...

I saw one comment about how he stormed away from Mary and was there issues between them. Or how he left Mary abandoned...it was just ridiculous.

And like you said Muhler - what other comments can they give at this time that they have not given. IF/WHEN they need to say something additional, they will. If the press wants new comments, they can track down some of the other parents to see what they have to say.

The gift consists of an extensive renovation and future-proofing of Marselisborg Castle and was handed over during Aarhus Municipality's official dinner on the occasion of the Queen's summer trip in the municipality. The four donors are the Salling Foundations, Holch Povlsen Foundation, Systematic and LINDBERG OPTIK, and the gift is DKK 40 million.

Marselisborg Castle is facing a major renovation project, which in stages over the next ten years will secure the future of the castle and the garden area as a royal residence and as a public castle garden, when the royal family does not stay at the castle. Over the years, the city's citizens and other visitors have benefited from both the castle garden's many works of art but also the many rose beds and trees, and future security ensures that Marselisborg Castle and the castle garden will continue to benefit the public in the future.

The renovation project will begin in the late summer of 2023 and will include an energy optimization of the castle, a new copper roof, new spiers and windows as well as a restoration of the garden staircase.

That will be most welcome present!

Marselisborg is owned by the DRF, but Aarhus municipality pays for the upkeep of the park, because the park is public when the DRF is not in residence. As such you can walk right up to the building.
Located next to a minor forest with red deer, the beach, a marina, a local tivoli and only a couple of km from downtown Aarhus, it's a very popular area to go for a walk, so the municipality is very interested in keeping it nice and neat.

Apart from that Marselisborg must cost a fortune to heat! So new windows and modern isolation in the walls and attic will no doubt save a lot of money.
Right now they must be "turning on the heating for the sparrows." - DK saying, meaning that the birds sitting on the roof and outside the windows are warm and cozy due to the heat leaking from the house.
 
This evening, July 15, Princess Marie accompanied by Prince Joachim, Prince Felix, Princess Athena and Prince Henrik opened the jubilee exhibition "Margrethe II de Danemark, artiste-Reine" at the Musée Henri-Martin in Cahors, France.

"On Saturday 10 September, it is possible to see the Queen in connection with a large changing of the guard at 12.00 at Amalienborg, where the royal family appears on the balcony. Afterwards, Her Majesty drives through Copenhagen in the carriage to participate in Copenhagen City Hall's celebration of the anniversary. In the evening, the Queen also arrives in the carriage when there is a gala performance on the Royal Theatre's Gamle Stage. The performance is broadcast by DR.

Sunday 11 September begins with a celebratory service in Our Lady's Church in Copenhagen. In the middle of the day, lunch is held on the Royal Ship Dannebrog, and in the evening the Queen holds a gala dinner at Christiansborg Castle, attended by the royal family, foreign guests and representatives of official Denmark. TV 2 will host an entertainment show.

On Friday 23 September, the Queen will hold an evening party for the Government, the Danish Parliament and Danish members of the European Parliament. The evening party is part of the celebration of the Government Jubilee, and the guests and the royal family will, in addition to a dinner, also experience entertainment in the Riddersalen at Christiansborg Castle."

The Swedish royal couple’s attendance was pretty much expected. I am looking forward to learning if other non-Scandinavian royals will attend as well.

I do hope non-Scandinavian royal guests attend, as it is the Golden Jubilee. Not many monarchs get to enjoy these milestones.
 
Interesting that the event schedule doesn't include Victoria and Daniel so far.
 
I hope all European royal families are represented. It's the Queen's Golden Jubilee, so it's an important event.
 
Hopefully we will see a wide group of royals attending - as others have said it is a Golden Jubilee after all. One note, the 10-11th Sep is the same weekend at Princess Maria Laura of Belgium is getting married so may well mean no Belgian attendees at the jubilee.
