Queen Margrethe II Jewels 2: Dec. 2021 -

If you have answers, please help by responding to the unanswered posts.
A look at the Diamond Daisy Brooch of Queen Ingrid.
I hadn't realised that QM wore on her wedding day!
Danish Diamond Daisy Brooch
A very significant brooch that Queen Ingrid wore for almost her entire life before movingly gifting it to her eldest daughter on QMII’s 60:th birthday.

I wonder who Margrethe will leave it to 🤔 It is a very significant brooch from Frederiks and Joachims ”Mormor” so it would be natural to just leave it to the crown…

On the other hand, as Frederik has already got almost everything, it would also be natural to leave it to Joachim so he gets something from Queen Ingrid too…

She should put in the family Trust.

That would be my assumption. Perhaps J&M will be left some money and some persona pieces of jewellery (eg, the jewellery fromHenrik, including the turquoise pieces or the ruby & pearl jewellery)

Can't see leave them the poppies headpiece - none of us need to see that on the future of the danish royals it can leave the mainline

I’m sure some of the major pieces that are still in the possession of Queen Margrethe will be left to Joachim in the fullness of time… Wether we like him or not she has 2 children, not just Frederik…

Denmark has a long history of gifting major jewellery between children of the monarch’s as most of their jewellery are privately owned… Daisy has already shown repeatedly that she is no exception

So she doesn't care that in a few decades the Jewels will likely be auctioned off like it happened to the Jewels of her cousins Christian and Elisabeth.

As was to be expected, Margrethe wore her 'Daisy brooch' on the official photographs. It that has been her trademark jewel for decades (as it is in reference to her name). She typically wears it on significant moment, including her wedding and the announcement of her abdication (but for example also her 80th birthday 5 years ago). It was previously owned by her mother and grandmother; she received at her 60th birthday as a birthday gift from her mother, queen Ingrid.

Does anyone have information on the jewels Queen Margarethe wore at her birthday celebration just recently?

The jewelry appears to be a set of necklace and earrings that was designed by the late Prince Henrik as a gift for their 25th wedding anniversary.

I believe it is the semi parure described here with photos of the suite and several photos of her wearing it throughout the years: Queen Margrethe’s Gold, Ruby, and Pearl Parure.

Thank you, Izzie. The details of the pieces are unusual. She wears them well.

I remember seeing this set at the exhibition for her Golden jubilee - it's modern and very much her style. Nice sentimental touch to wear it to her birthday to have something her husband had given to her

The tiara was a gift from Greenland for Margrethe's Golden Jubilee in 2012, the floral motifs represent flowers from Greenland.

Given Trump is trying to claim Greeland as American, its a nice sign for Margrethe to wear a tiara associated with Greenland. Especially as it comes just days after Trump named a special envoy to Greeland and said the US "had to have it [Greenland]"

Thank you. What a gorgeous work of art. I think it would look better on a brunette

I only like this as a **** you to Trump, because I do not think that this tiara suits Margrethe at all. Looks better on anyone who does not have white hair.

I think it looked good in 2013 with the velvet blue gown, but it just doesn't photograph well with the pinkish/coral gown (though I do love the gown on its own). I'd like to see her wear it with a black or white gown.

I do wonder if Mary will wear it in the future when Margrethe has passed, or if it'll then be permanently on display. It is such beautiful workmanship, it deserves to be seen, but also worn.

I also hope that Queen Mary will wear this tiara in the future. And it is a very beautiful tiara.

Think it is an important tiara to keep in the mainline, although modern, it showcases Greenland and the ties it has to Denmark. The craftsmanship is excellent and I recall seeing it in person a few years ago when it was displayed it surprised me how beautiful it is and delicate.

IMO the Golden Poppies will be put on auction when Margrethe passes
The poppies wouldn’t be bad as brooches, and I could even imagine the tiara redesigned as a more conventional piece. It’s too quirky as-is for Mary’s style, or probably anyone else but Margarethe!
