I am not sure why Mariska Dietz is there, but she is a friend of the Queen [according to Linda magazine 'her best friend on Dutch soil'). She is an interior designer and was involved with the decoration of parts of Huis ten Bosch. She is married to businessman Theo Dietz, who is a friend of the King.

I saw a few clips on social media and she seemed to have some weird mannerisms. It is a bit of a distraction. For ex. at the end of this clip you can see her playing with her hair and smelling it!

She seemed to have had lots of plastic surgery to me! If this is one of Maxima's friends no wonder the King & Queen seem so out of touch.
