Queen Máxima Jewels 3: March 2025 -

The aigrette fabulous! Always! Also the earrings. Love the quartz set, new to me

I wonder if the freesia flower brooch was a recent purchase when Queen Maxima was in Spain for the Seville fair?
I'm sure the Spanish designer was very pleased to see her design gracing the Dutch queen at the recent gala for NATO.

I have always liked the way Maxima has brought this back into the rotation of jewels whether brooch or headpiece
I concur, Maxima has been very creative in her use of the aigrette, which is not an easy item of jewellery to wear.

It such a clever and creative alternative use for the aigrette ,there really are some wonderful pieces on the Orange Vault.

The leaf earrings are by JAR Paris and cost a 10.000 EUR a pair apparently.

Fun floral earrings - these are large but Maxima can pull them off.

The look like tulips if I'm not mistaken and a perfect design for a Dutch queen!

They are actually fritillaria. If you Google the plant, you'll see the distinctive spotted colouring in reddish-purple and white, same as the earrings.
I agree, though, that they resemble tulips a lot, making them a perfect accessory for a Dutch Queen.

PS: I also thought they are tulips until I read the article today.

It seems Queen Máxima is wearing some diamonds in her hair [in Luxembourg] , diamond stars perhaps.

I also immediately thought of Willem-Alexander's inauguration.

And the added value of the brooch is unclear to me - other than showing off.

I think the brooch is wonderful, the location of it not so much but I appreciate HM experimenting. I think the smaller sapphire tiara can not be worn as a necklace anymore, but it would have looked nice here following the neckline. The tiara is magnificent, as are Queen Beatrix' earrings.

Like the Queen always, agree on the weird brooch position - usually she wears it at the waist belt as a buckle. Up there is just to show off?
Also, I would have work the smaller version of the tiara, this time it just looks so big and the empty space at the base make it even taller.

Love that tiara (no one can do big jewels like Max), but the brooch location is weird.

I genuinely only noticed the brooch when reading this despite having watched a few video clips of her and WA arriving. So it did seem poorly placed and didn’t even seem to stand out. It might have done so more if placed on her sash, if that is allowed.

It mainly stood out in close-up pictures. It seemed fine from a distance.

And brooches are often used to keep sashes in place - but more often smaller ones are used for that. See for example, Amalia's back.

Always a fan of these Kunzite and diamond pieces from the Dutch vault
Thanks for drawing attention to this beautiful pieces. They are beautiful and she wears them so well in this appearance.

The set was first seen in 2009. Modekoningin's Edwin Fellner discovered that they were made by the The Hague goldsmith Herman Romberg.

You can see the whole set on the second photo of this instagram post:

Today Queen Máxima wore another brooch we have not seen before, though modekoningin says she wore it during the state visit to Portugal, but it was hidden under a coat:

Brooch in detail

It is the celinda flower brooch by Luz Camino, a designer of which Máxima has several other floral bijoux.
