Queen Máxima Jewels 3: March 2025 -

If you have answers, please help by responding to the unanswered posts.
The parure had no earrings at all when it was created, I believe, also not the stud-parts. Neither Queen Emma nor Queen Wilhelmina wore earrings.

The tiara looks better on Maxima with her hair up actually

Those are at least tasteful looking statement pieces and chunks of plastic or leprechaun beards attached!

A great find once again by modekoninginmaxima.

During the pope´s inauguration the Queen actually wore a forgotten ´tiara´ of pearls and diamonds.
The piece -perhaps better described as a haircomb- was a favourite of Wilhelmina in her younger years and usually had the pear shaped pearls of Amalia of Solms attached to them (now used for the Pavlovnik tiara of Anna Pavlovna).

The comb was used to keep the veil in place.

And in English:

I'd never have noticed that pearl and diamond comb so that was indeed well spotted by modekoninginmaxima.

Yes, a brilliant spot. Such a perfect piece to fasten the veil.

What a great find - Maxima surprises us again (its been too long!)

Very lovely to see the whole parure.
Oh there are still several parts missing like the stomacher, but good to see that she now wears it together and doesn't mix the parts of the Mellerio and peacock ruby Parure with each other,

I never liked this tiara much in the past but Máxima has found a way to make it work, it always looks great on her. And I think it may be her favourite tiara. The necklace is gorgeous.

Necklace is just beautiful, the tiara does look like animal ears to me every time.
The whole look is polished, and the gown benefits from no sash and other metall cluttering it up.

The necklace is the star of the show - it has always been a favourite of my in the dutch jewels. Surprised she went for one the big tiaras for a visit to a republic but I like it nonetheless

Do they still have the stomacher?
Queen Maxima is the only one that always brings us bling. Lovely!

And given Amalia's love for jewelry, we can look forward to another generation with lots of bling.

The Mellerio ruby tiara is not a favourite of mine and I expected a smaller one for the State gala.

They do. But the last time it was worn in its complete form was in the 1970s by Queen Juliana. Queen Máxima did wear elements of it. I gather it is too heavy for the fabrics used in the dresses today.

Another lovely discovery: Dutch royal jewels on instagram found out the origin of the diamond and emerald bracelet which was worn by the Queen in Prague.

After thorough research, we came across a newspaper article from 1901, the wedding year of Queen Wilhelmina. A group of noblewomen gifted Wilhelmina a bracelet, consisting of "a large emerald, around which 18 diamonds are set." The jewelry was ordered from jeweler J.C. Burnier & Co. in The Haque

What a really lovely diamond and emerald bracelet and looks like Queen Maxima has been taking a leaf out of Queen Mary's book and having a good rummage in the Orange jewel vault!

Lovely bracelet. I am surprised Maxima has not used it much previously, as it is very wearable.

Edwin Fellner of Dutchroyaljewels wrote a more complete article on the page of modekoninginmaxima.

Apparently it is one of six emerald bracelets (a 7th are emerald easter eggs, turned into a bracelet.

As some bracelets are simular in look and feel perhaps there is simly is too much to chose from.

It is a pity that despite the many emeralds in the collection, the tiara is so tiny and unharmoniuous. If they break up a few pieces add pull the stones together there would be a nice way to create a new tiara.

Very wearable indeed for day events

These Stuart earrings are a favourite of hers it seems
