Today, October 15, Queen Máxima made a working visit to the municipality of Zaanstad as part of the "Zaandam-Oost Pact 2024-2044" of the National Programme for Livability and Safety (NPLV):

Queen Máxima was present at the signing of a 4-year partnership between the Princess Máxima Centre for Pediatric Oncology and the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) in Utrecht today, December 18.

The partnership focuses on strengthening the practical knowledge and skills of pediatric radiotherapy teams in Eastern Europe and Eurasia, so that children with cancer worldwide can be treated more safely and effectively. The International Atomic Energy Agency has asked the Princess Máxima Center to serve as a training center where medical teams can receive training, observerships, fellowships and mentorships. Work is also being done on closer cooperation between the institutions involved and on possibilities for future exchange of research data.


 
The royal collections [Koninklijke Veramelingen] exist 200 years. To mark the occassion the Volkskrant magazine was guided through the archives and the Queen's favourite pieces by the Queen herself.
