That’s a very beautiful gown. The bracelets look great with it. I wish she’d worn more prominent/ sparkling earrings too.

I beg to differ - Madame Macron is always special and to the point.
Very plain and boring and I agree with Mary Rose, the bracelets deserve more exclusivity.

The dress style is gorgeous and clearly taking inspiration from Ancient Rome dress fashion. But being in black makes Queen Letizia looks so harsh; the dress needed to be a light colour. Perhaps a light purple or blue.

Business as usual... Meanwhile in Amsterdam and Stockholm, big bling... COME ON, Letizia is Queen of Spain. What I always think is after going alot to Spain, people there are way more maximalist than us up north that are minimalists. But she is just very plain. She should be the star of the gala dinner. All other queens wore tiara for the black tie dinner in Rome. Wish someone told Letizia to begin to wear the jewellery that is required as Queen of Spain.

So often she chooses gowns or dresses that give off a harsh or severe look. I don't understand it.

I was told before that black is still considered the most formal color in Spain, and she clearly likes to wear it in the evening, so I don’t think it’s surprising she wears it for state functions.

The harshness is more a combination of her hair and choosing to only wear bracelets. But it’s a republican state visit, she’s not one to drip in jewels and has worn them sparingly for years, and I think anyone suddenly expecting otherwise is barking up the wrong tree.

She looks fabulous. She always looks great in red, but I really like the style of this outfit.

Its a great colour on Letizia but the overall look could have done with a more visible pair of earrings or a bracelet.

Not sure about the material of the cape - is it leather?<If it had been lace/ embroidered, this would have been a very lovely look. The trouser length and shape are perfect on her.

Not sure about the material of the cape - is it leather?<If it had been lace/ embroidered, this would have been a very lovely look. The trouser length and shape are perfect on her.

I think it actually all worked nicely and looks like the queen has coloured her hair?
A bangle would have been a mice addition and contrast nice against the dark colours.

The style might look much better on Leonor if it were her size.
