I'm not very keen on those black feathers at the top of her mantilla, it gives it a Halloween vibe.

Kinda looks like something a villain would wear. Why?

Camilla is experienced enough to know the sort of impact her image has. It was not accidental and I doubt she cares one bit about the Halloween vibes.

A very rare fail on the part of Camilla. The frock was fine but the feathered head dress had an air of Satan's bride about it.

The Queen rarely gets her choice of headwear wrong- her hats are pretty much always such an elegant choice. This is such a glaring faux pas in fashion terms. It ruins the look and as others have said , has the air of a Halloween costume piece. What a shame for such a historic occasion.

The white coat dress looks lovely, expect to see it being used again in the spring / early summer.

Agree entirely, this feather and veil thing looked ridiculous, very odd

Haters gonna hate but i quite like it. Totally appropriate with a whimsy touch.

Halloween comparisons are inevitable in October though. But i guess the outfit was already ready back in April when the original visit was planned. It would have appeared less unfortunate for some in that context.

I almost spit my coffee out as I was reading and reached the end

Camilla has a flare for hats where the feathers follow a circular pattern to the side, like a combed over hair or when you see the water in the drain going to one side in circles.

I am among those who wonder what she tried to achieve with the weird mantilla. This was clearly a case of better safe than sorry but she picked sorry nonetheless.

Honestly looked almost like a nod to her wedding headpiece, which far better, in black.

I love her hats, because she rocks the true hat, not fascinator or box hats. But this was a miss. Kind of gave me crows landed on her veils and trying to steal it vibe.

The mantilla and the gown itself, and accessories are great.

Much better look in white.

It’s not a pure white it’s more oatmeal, apparently that was the colour for the matching bag (I think she would have received criticism considering she is not a Catholic Queen)

The coat is lovely. I just do not see Queen Camilla wear hats for regular engagements like this.

I wish the skirt was either longer or not so full ( although this is en trend for skirts this season.). I like the fit of the jacket.
On a separate point, I have noticed of late how the Queen now favours a very dark eyebrow colour. I know it frames the eyes, but I wish she would go for a lighter shade.
