Pink looks great on Queen Camilla, and the Diamond Maple Leaf brooch is a lovely touch. I do wish she'd worn a hat though. I miss seeing hats at UK state visits.

BTW, in the second picture, I noticed the tassels look quite worn and a bit dirty. Perhaps it's just the lighting or the angle.

I am really surprised by the Queen’s initial appearance on the State Visit. The frayed hem is not a good look - if there was a last minute accident on the plane, I’m sure there’s a reserve outfit on hand. The lack of a hat means her hair looks messy. I love the pink colour and the gorgeous brooch but the whole ensemble is rather underwhelming which doesn’t convey the right vibe for this important visit.

I have always admired Camilla's style but, to me, the pink dress is a disaster. It is definitely actually not finished! What is wrong with her Dresser, or has she decided she doesn't need one? If so it is a very bad decision. She cannot be laying out ensembles for two or three engagements in a day and she certainly does not have time to ensure the upkeep required let alone curate a wardrobe on top of it all.

I am aware that this is not exactly a "formal State Visit" but that does not excuse such a devolved standard of dressing, and the lack of a hat is just the cherry on top of a very flat sponge,

It’s indeed not a state visit as you cannot bring a state visit to your own country. Nonetheless, she wears appropriate and very Camilla-like dresses but the second seems in a better state than the first which is indeed unraveling which should have been noticed beforehand.

In the first photo you can see a torn hem with raw fabric edge. I agree about the hat. This is a very minimal effort look, not a great way to start a State visit.
Its not a state visit!

In the white dress with dark accents….look to the hem on the side the King is on….it looks like there is a torn piece of fabric, maybe a slip? It is blurry. Also, Camilla is wearing the same brooch and necklace as with the pink dress. At
Then look at the pink dress picture where it shows the top half or close up of the Camilla. It appears she has lipstick on her front tooth. I hope she has a Dresser with her to check everything before the next set of pictures are revealed. The King look fabulous.

I much preferred look number 2 on Camilla .
I agree, although I thought the shade of pink was lovely.
However, neither outfit showed the maple brooch off to its best.
I had also made the mistake of referring to this as a state visit, but I think this has no bearing on how you would expect the Queen to look on arrival for a formal and very public visit.

I don't think there is either torn fabric or a slip visible with the white dress. To me, wearing the Maple brooch twice whilst in Canada is not an issue at all.

That’s more like the Queen I have come to admire for her appearance at official events. A lovely, elegant look and her hair nicely styled.
Exactly. We know she can pull it off with panache so her "meh" moments are sometimes very frustrating.

But we also know that Camilla is marching to the beat of her own drum, and we love her for that.

Yes, it brings to mind comments from before her marriage to Charles: …that she could go straight from jodhpurs into a party dress and that one never knew for sure if she had yesterday’s knickers on…
Amusing and endearing, I always thought.

Thank you for the correction. It's still a very important visit in many ways and deserved better than to have their Queen show up looking like she couldn't be bothered to dress nicely IMO.

The dark blue look is nice, especially the hat. Camilla usually looks good at the more formal events, I wonder if she uses a dresser for these and not for the more 'low-key' engagements. I thought she looked pretty meh at the Chelsey Flower Show for example.

I lean more towards being frustrated than amused or charmed by Camilla's lack of care about her appearance. It's lazy to me. She has been given a lot of opportunities and resources but does her own thing and it's not always charming. JMO and sorry if others disagree.

It was a classic look on Camilla and perfect for the occasion too.

Dress is fine, but not a favourite of mine. Her hair really does need a bit of attention.

A nice shade of light blue and white for todays visit and the practical umbrella too for the English summer!

It’s one of my favourite suits that she wears. The colour is great for her and the cut and detail of the jacket, plus the shape of the skirt are very flattering aspects.

Not her best look. I would never patronize her hairdresser, either.

(Referring to the navy blue polka dot dress.)

The nice peacock feather dress is back!
Only the blue shoes are too blue for the dress ;)
