Queen Camilla Jewels 3: Sep 2025 -

Preferred it on Eugenie, however it looks fine on Camilla and great to see it getting another outing! (Would have looked good with Catherine's green eyes, just sayin'...)

It's amazing how she can still surprise us !
It's not her best tiara fitting though, but bonus point to bring back to life some long forgotten bling.

Agreed. It’s not the best tiara for her, but I am excited about seeing it again. And it does look good on her.

I wished we got to see a completely new one, but very surprised. I thought wedding tiaras were usually off limits except for the person who wore it at her wedding?

What an absolutely beautiful tiara - I can see why Eugenie chose it as her wedding piece.

But it belongs to the Crown, I assume, and it was only loaned to Eugenie for her wedding day, not given to her as a gift. So I don't see why Camilla should not wear it if she wishes to.

No such rules, IMO! Eugenie was lent a tiara to wear at her wedding, she is unlikely to ever wear a tiara agaon in public, so I see no reason for the tiara to be allocated to her.

I believe the tiara belongs personally to KC3 and not the Crown. The tiara is part of the Greville bequest to QEQM (then Queen Elizabeth), and I suspect its ownership has gone from QEQM to QE2 to KC3.

Good to see the emerald kokoshnik again, after it had been ignored for over 70 years. Pity that she didn't wore on of the many emerald neklaces with it.
I don't think the neckline of this gown gave room for one of the many serious emerald necklaces she has access to.

But fear not, the Queen has had the base of the tiara wrapped in blonde velvet, indicating she intends to use it in the future. That should provide opportunities for one of the Greville emerald necklaces to come out to play.

Indeed. I think the delhi durbar necklace would have worked, Or the tassel emerald necklace.
If the Queen wants to use the tiara more the should also cover the stands on the tiara frame in blonce Velvet so that it is not so visible

Most likely, all major gala pieces of jewellery remain with the monarch, the ones with the "crown" and the rest private.
It is nice to see Camilla with this tiara. But I do not understand her pairings. It is always a "fruit salad" to me. Considering they have full "parures" of colours, several in fact, I whish they wore more of it. I hoped this was worn by Catherine, but maybe it is smart if Camilla is the first one to wear this one, and next time the on Meghan wore. To state her status as Queen and "owner" of the jewellery. Next time it will not be controversial if Catherine want to borrow a tiara, even Meghans bridal tiara.
I wish instead Camilla wore this piece, with emerald earrings, emerald brooch and the "lost" emerald necklace from the Queen mother.

Pleasently surprised to see the Emerald Kokoshnik coming back to life again (even though as others have already pointed out, the embedment of the tiara in her hair could have been done much better). She seems to use the diplomatic reception to surprise us… Last year it was the 5-Aquamarine Tiara. This year the Greville Emerald Kokoshnik Tiara…. Bring the surprises on Camilla ! We love them

Surprised to see this emerald tiara brought out by Camilla - assumed her emerald tiara debut would be in the Vladimir. Maybe it is not to Camila’s taste

I'm delighted that Camilla surprised us with another tiara. It's the first tme that she debuted a new tiara this year. And it seems that she prefers to wear smaller tiaras for the diplomatic reception. So it makes sense to bring out the emerald kokoshnik. Also, I believe that her plan is not to wear the exact same tiaras as the late queen, but to diversify a bit. Good on her, imo.

I agree with those who don't like the visible base. The base is a new addition and I'm pretty sure that it wasn't there at Eugenie's wedding. And I do't think that it was necessary, as her hair wasn't that fluffy this time.

The base was there but everything of it was wrapped in velvet matching Eugenies hair colour. Can be seen from pics when it was on display after the Wedding

Everyone were surprised indeed.

Agree she is trying to diversify her tiara choices and not just sticking to the “Queen” ones, she has the keys to the vaults and is happy to explore for us. (those favoured by the late Queen and thus feel they are the highest ranking tiaras in our country)

I'm wondering as well if this was a subtle confirmation that Eugenie doesn't have it in her possession, in light of the scandals involving the Yorks.

Or that Angela Kelly (AK-47) hadn’t disappeared it……

Maybe she is gearing up to bring out Queen Mary's bandeau from Meghan's wedding - frankly it needs another outing and Camilla would be the right one to wear it again as Queen. This step using Eugenie's wedding tiara was a way on the road to say/remind journalists they are vault jewels & property of the monarch
