Very regfal look. I only wished she had opted

for another necklace this time. And i wonder why does not sue the King's Family Order? Or ist that not worn at the State Opening? And when yes why
Great look. That necklace is spectacular.

I was expecting Camilla to wear her RFO at the State opening of Parliament today.
Maybe not the best comparison but QEII also didn't wear her RFOs as well, maybe because of the robes?

In Guernsey today, the Queen appears to be wearing sapphire and diamond earrings, probably the ones she wore at QE2's funeral. I haven't seen great pictures yet.

And the earrings have stirred some debate

I wonder are they Diana's sapphire and diamond earrings?

We would have to look back to Queen Elizabeth (QEQM) and Queen Mary. But then they also wore the Garter Sash which Camilla doesn't.

Unlikely, IMO.

Firstly, I think Camilla has not (barring the historic brooch with the Prince of Wales feathers), and is unlikely to wear jewellery personal to Diana. The reactions that might elicit are not worth it. Camilla also has access to one of the world's largest jewellery collections, so really has no need.

Secondly, the demi-parure is likely to be with the sons of Diana, and not in the royal vault. Camilla is, therefore, unlikely to have access to it even if she wanted to.

Thirdly, lovely as the design might be, they are not unique. Queen Mary did not like wearing pendant earrings, preferring studs, and may well have acquired this pair to match her sunray sapphire tiara.

I was thinking it was rather unlikely to see Camilla wearing them.

At the State Opening of Parliament 2024 today:

Given the relatively simple gown this might have been a good opportunity for the Queen to wear a devant-de-corsage. Perhaps Queen Victoria's Fringe brooch or Queen Mary / QE2's stomacher couuld have been pressed into service.

As expected, the Queen is wearing the Wattle brooch for arrival into Australia today.

The wattle brooch is stunning - I saw it displayed once and it is even more amazing in person and heavy looking to wear

Queen Camilla is wearing the aquamarine tiara worn the last years by the then Countess of Wesses at the diplomatic reception

Wow didn't recognise it on Camilla vs how it looks on Sophie. I feel it is perhaps sitting a little too high in the middle, almost needed a little more hair to cover the gap left between the centre but its a good look and nice to see something different from what we were all expecting.

I agree that it needs to be more deeply set into her hair.
I find this tiara a strange choice as, given how rarely tiaras are worn by British royals, it doesn’t strike me as being sufficiently significant for the Queen to wear & she certainly has quite a range to choose from.
What I do think is interesting is that there appears to be a different approach emerging where jewels aren’t worn by just one senior royal during their lifetime- but perhaps this isn’t the case with the Princess Royal. With the previous monarch, such pooling seemed to be mainly confined to a brooch or necklace related to a country or organisation.

Great King Charles Family Order with diamonds? Hope to see it next year for the Princess of Wales.
She wears the Garter Sash as Princess Anne and Alexandra.

The Aquamarine looks better on QC than… anyone in the past multiple decades or so. Right?

It’s also nice that Camilla is willing to take anything and everything out. I enjoy the feeling we could see anything on her.

For a moment I mistook it for the altered Kent tiara .

I take this surprising tiara choice by Queen Camilla as an optimistic sign that tiaras may be more freely shared among the British royal women than they were under the late Queen. Less predictable choices means more fun for us!

I think the aquamarine looks better on QCamilla than Sophie in this instance.

I am thrilled to see Queen Camilla wearing a variety of tiaras since her husband ascended to the throne.

I'm curious as to why she is not also wearing the Royal Family Order of Elizabeth II.
I think this was just a simpler look, with one RFO worn rather than 2, as Queen Camilla wore for the Japanese state banquet, or QE2 generally wore.

Now that was a surprise, and one that was just not expected. This has been seen as a "minor" tiara, and but Queen Camilla yet again demonstrated that her bouffant hairdo can make most tiara's work.

I also note the return of her aquamarine necklace, one not seen for well over a decade. And I am not sure I had ever seen the aquamarine and diamond earrings worn previously.

I agree that it needs to be more deeply set into her hair.

I do agree that the realignment of tiaras in the BRF is certainly underway. Too early to tell what the new pattern might be, but let us watch and see. This is going to be fun for all jewel watchers.

Sorry no, that tiara did not work for her. First the tiara blends to much in her hair and tends to disappear, like the Girls and not even her hair can successfully hide that ugly frame part in the centre below the central element.
