Honestly, i don’t know… At least not when it comes to tiaras..

She only wore other tiaras when her own tiara was being re-built. Then it quickly stopped..

But she is clearly allowed to wear some jewels from the family-foundations, as she has worn earrings, brooches, bracelets and rings from the family-foundations plenty of times and paired it with her own tiara..

So i honestly have no idea wether it is her own choice or if she does not have access to other tiaras when her own is available..

That is a very good point, Sofia has been been wearing jewellery other than tiaras that are part of the family collection. Perhaps she just likes her tiara a lot and enjoys wearing it with different toppers.

Princess Lilian used the Family jewels all the time so that can't be the reason. And Sofia has worn tiaras from the Family foundations earlier, when her own tiara was renovated.

The earrings are not faux, they are made of white gold, diamonds, and London Blue topaz.

Realistically, there aren't that many spare tiaras out there... Just the two button tiaras and the two cut steel ones, which simply might not be up to her taste. Princess Desiree has also worn mostly her own jewels, yet people seem to be fine with it.
Princess Sofia has worn some historic necklaces, earrings and brooches, so it's far fetched to say that the vault doors have been closed shut for her ;)

I would just like to see Sofia wear a different tiara for a change ;)

Princess Desiree very seldom attends Events where big Jewels are required and she has worn the cut Steel tiara and the amethysts too
 
I can't recall seeing Princess Desiree at any tiara events in the past few years?

Princess Desirée has worn nearly all the tiaras over the years except the Braganza Tiara and the Leuchtenberg Sapphire…

The Haga-sisters had for a long time almost no resteictions when it came to jewellery… In later years however they have mostly worn their private jewellery

She had meningitis 2 years ago and has not attended any royal events since

The last one should have been the King's 70th birthday. That was also the last time we saw Princesses Birgitta and Margaretha wearing tiaras. Only the years before we saw them more often wearing one because of the 3 royal Weddings.

I think also Queen Sofia's large diamond tiara hasn't been worn by Princess Desiree?
Anyway, this is not the point I was trying to make. Maybe Sofia feels comfortable with the palmette tiara and it's versatility and isn't too bothered to wear the family's "spare" tiaras? Let's hope that she wears something else tonight :)
 
I quite liked Sofia’s appearances in both the button-tiaras, and even in the cut steel bandeau, and wouldn’t mind seeing her wear them again…

Also the larger cut steel tiara would look great on her dark hair i think

The only tiara i never liked on her was the amethyst… But that’s a very tricky one to wear as it is a converted clunky necklace… Even Silvia and Victoria has had their fair share of problems with it

The amethyst tiara really doesn't suit most of the royal ladies. But this is also due to it beeing a flat circlet with a diameter who is to big for most of their Heads.

Sofia's hairdo doesn't suit with the tiara at all. A pity, when she finally has a new tiara, the hairdo is a big miss. It seems she has her LWL jewellery earrings this evening.

Kind of wasted the gorgeous aquamarine kokoshnik with that messy hairdown. Maybe she should learn from Madeleine who always rocks tiara with hairdown just like tonight.

It's not too bad, and I'll give Sofia a bit of a break since pregnancy does weird things to your hair! Despite her hair stylists best attempts, her hormones clearly had other ideas for her hair!
 
And this diamond brooch securing her sash? Any information?

I think she wears the tiara well, although I still think she needs a nice updo, but is it just me, or are the stones looking washed out? I always thought that the stones had a vibrant color for aquamarines, but they looked pale in these photos. Maybe that's what they actually look like and I just thought they were more colorful, I don't know.
 
Oh no, just no. Sofia and Madeleine both look terrible tiara wise tonight IMO.
