Catherine congratulated Jack Draper on his brilliant win in Indian Wells, his first Masters 1000 title.

The Princess is a beautiful and elegant lady - how wonderful to see her out and about again on duty, and looking so happy and relaxed!

It’s great to see her returning to this annual engagement and apparently enjoying the occasion immensely.
Its wonderful to see the Princess back at the annual St Patrick's day celebrations!

The Princess of Wales in a video with Scouts about the "power of spending time in nature". The video was shared on the Prince and Princess of Wales' YouTube channel.

Wonderful! I love Windermere so much, and it's nice to see Catherine with a group of Scouts from here in Manchester.

There are some more photos here. If you know the area, you can see that they're having ice creams at Ferry Nab, Bowness, and that Mallard the car ferry is in the background :) .

I think this type of engagement ties in very much with discussion on a couple of other threads here. By this I mean, that the many, brief visits to open a building, attend an event and the like are likely to be seen less in the future. In its place are more concentrated and sustained work with organisations, with coverage that appears across the media, and this coverage is frequently pre- prepared.

From the BBC:

Scouts were “jumping up and down with excitement” when they were treated to a surprise visit from the Princess of Wales, their leader has said.

He told BBC Radio Cumbria: “[The scouts] were all really, really excited.

“We had a couple jumping up and down with excitement, one shed a tear.”

That's very positive, from a royalist viewpoint. You expect little kids to be excited about meeting royalty, but teenagers, from two predominantly working class areas, aren't the most obvious group of people to be that excited about meeting a princess. That's lovely to hear.
