"Glow-up giveaway!
We’re giving away 4 minLen skincare routines made for soft & happy skin for kids and teens"

Instagram ads with children:

Terrible, to get children that young already into expensive skin care. But obviously its a very lucrative business model.
Yes, it's awful, but fortunately it's not "a thing" in Sweden, and I think most people think it's just some nonsense Madde picked up in Florida. Hopefully it will stay "un-lucrative" here.

Leonore and Adrienne at MinLen's Instagram ad:

I feel sorry for the girls that their mother is exploiting them for financial gain. In addition, it is interesting that apparently in her world only her daughters need to 'cleanse' their faces after playing outside and not her son. I'd recommend an old fashioned shower (if needed)...

Same. It's insane to talk about skin cleansing for not even 10 years old. Honestly. So so many of my dermatologist colleagues are trying to talk sense into parents and here is an actual HRH saying those stuff. Adrienne particularly has THE best skin just like any child with no skin condition. She needs no cleansing whatsoever. It's sad... Lenore I don't remember if she is a teen already or not but when acne hits she can treat but honestly it's wild. It was really not on my bingo card!

Leonore is 11. Turning 12 in February.

It's quite depressing to read this. Skincare has become a massive thing for many Gen Z and Gen Alpha girls, and TikTok is full of videos extolling the 'virtues' of cleansing and toning to tweens and teens. This does not strike me as a wholly responsible move on Madeleine's part...

One of the reasons that Madeleine said was behind her creating a skincare line for tweens was that many kids around Leonore's age already have a skincare routine, but are using products aimed at adults which can hurt their skin. Instead she wanted them to use products made for their skin.

Indeed, that commercial exploitation of the kids seems disgusting to me, even more so when it involves controversial routines for their age range. Madeleine should know better as someone who was born as a princess of the blood.

Mmm, I am really unsure about using L&A to promote her business. i also noticed her IG account for the skincare firm is mostly in english, so it feels to me as if she's marketing this for outside of sweden / a foreign market. It is interesting, and one wonders what she has in mind exactly.

I don't think I buy into this. I think using a regular face wash without drug additives would be fine for a kid personally. Obviously nothing containing acids, or retinoids etc but a regular facewash for adults would not be an issue, I think. it sounds to me that they are trying to create a new need for this that isn't required, and building anxiety out of something that isn't an issue. It would be interesting to know of dermatologists and their thoughts around the need for kid-focused skincare.

I don’t get why she is doing this 😣 This is never going to be a success in scandinavia because it has never been a big thing here…

Sure she must have something that she finds meaningful to do but couldn’t someone really come up with anything better for her ?

She has known for many years that there is no place for her as a working royal…

But Madeleine has always been ”the brat” of the King’s 3 children….

She has always said that working with the World Childhood Foundation is very important for her, but obviously it isn't enough for her. But of her mother's organizations there is also Mentor International, a non-profit development organization working to help young people find a path towards a promising future, she could have started working with it. Or Silviahemmet, which is very important for Queen Silvia.
