Pretty earrings, makeup and her hair looks nice. The dress and coat need to go. Way too short.
You are right about hairstyle showing off the back of the dress. If worn down, it would have been a wasteLove the LBD from last night! The back is gorgeous and Letizia has the body to pull it off! Also, great hairstyle to go with the dress, really shows off the back. Great look for her!
Has she worn this dress before? Letizia is very good at recycling, but I'm not sure if I've seen it on her in the past.

Recycled black & white Varela dress, not my cup of tea as it is too short & baggy, but its an elegant appearance nevertheless, thanks to glam earrings

You see, I disagree that she has the legs for it. I don't mind the length but I don't think she has the legs to carry it off. The style of the dress just makes her legs look like matchsticks. IMO, of course!

Talking about recycling, has anyone any clue why Letizia never worn a second time the two gorgeous gowns she worn to the Danish CP wedding, i.e. the red one and the red skirt with the flower top. Both were Caprile i think, and were among the best outfits she ever worn.
Those were absolutely gorgeous!
Were they her gowns or borrowed from fashion houses? Sometimes upscale designers wants people to wear their creations for special occasions and let desirable known women borrow. Done all the time. Even a few first ladies in America have admitted to this. But why she never worn them a second time? never!

The white Varela dress is too short! ok she has the aequate legs for but she is not a catwalk model, she is the future queen, on official duty.
In the british thread people is complaining about some of the Duchess of Cambridge skirts lenght, but Kate is a young woman only 32 and she is not married to the direct heir of the throne. Letizia is a decade older then Kate and Queen maybe tomorrow.
But why she never worn them a second time? never!
Maybe the dresses were a loan by Varela??
