Princess Leonor's Military Studies 2

If you have answers, please help by responding to the unanswered posts.
Yes, it has been good that the Royal House continues to regularly release photos and videos of Leonor during her military training. Time passes quickly and she is almost finishing her second year of military training, in August she will join the air force.

May 1st is a national holiday in Spain, May 2nd is a holiday in the Community of Madrid and Sunday is Mother's Day in Spain, so the queen will celebrate with Leonor.

How lovely that they have family members come over for a few days when they are well over half of their trip but still have some time to go as well.

Great that this visit can take place. There were already rumors in the media because Letizia was without event in the agenda for 2 weeks.

The reunion of Queen Letizia and Princess Leonor in Panama on the training ship Juan Sebastián de Elcano!

The Royal Household shared photos of the arrival of the training ship “Juan Sebastián de Elcano” at the port of Panama City.

Love this! If I'm not wrong, it's the first time we've seen Leonor in this gala uniform, even though we know she's attended some of these receptions at some ports.

Its wonderful to see this visit with Letizia and Leonor. Its not the queen making an official visit (as we often saw Elizabeth inspecting troops and her grandsons in the army at the time). Its simply a mom with a whole bunch of other parents, visiting their kids who have been off at sea for months. One just happens to be the queen. You could see the pride in her, and the happiness in all of the midshipman when they greeted their families.

Leonor looks wonderful in her gala uniform. Growing and changing so much.

It's actually a mess-uniform. Here beefed up by wearing medals rather than ribbons.

Thanks Muhler.

I didn't know that term and had to Google it. I've found that it's (usually) the equivalent of black-tie (and indeed, there are photos of civilian men in tuxedos at the reception) and that there's (usually) a "dressier" uniform. And that's for example what Felipe wears when the dress code is white tie or uniform, the most formal uniform.

Well, this is Leonor in her dress uniform: https://i.pinimg.com/736x/00/57/d4/0057d4c0a9656d4517ec399e367556ae.jpg
Full dress is with medals and saber and usually gloves.
The dress uniform is the same, but ribbons instead of medals and no saber and usually no gloves.

This is Leonor in her summer dress uniform:
With saber, which indicates that she is at a parade.
I see that Spain is using the Sam Browne-style officer's belt, inspired by UK. It should be tighter, but there are reasons for that. The belt across the chest is to ensure that her sidearm (in this case her saber) isn't pulling down her belt, so it looks askew and thus sloppy.

And finally Leonor in her (cadet) gala uniform:

Yesterday, they had lunch together at a restaurant

What a wonderful and unexpected surprise visit!

Lovely visit from the Queen to visit Leonor during her training - the reunion video and pictures were heartwarming
