At one time the Spanish were great explorers and conquerers of the world one wonders if the princess will try to use her newfound strength to reconquer territories herself...i do jest but in all seriousness the princess seems to take to the seas quite well.

I of course cannot say how much interest there really is for Leonor's visit in South America but it seems to be considerable and overwhelmingly positive.

That's good and she will have gained invaluable experience and confidence by basically going solo during this entire trip and handling whatever she is facing, be that positive or less so, on her own. Much more experience than had she stayed home in Spain, with courtiers backing her up.

The Royal Household releases new photos of Leonor on the ship Juan Sebastián Elcano after completing half of the journey. On Friday the Princess of Asturias will arrive in Peru.

After Peru, Leonor will still have stopovers in Colombia, Panama, the Dominican Republic and the United States.

It's roughly her midpoint. She will leave the Elcano in New York for its voyage back to Spain, embark in a Spanish frigate navy vessel and will again embark the Elcano in Gijon, passing through El Ferrol, until the training ship completes the journey in Marin.

I'm surprised how much Leonor's confidence has grown. I'm not talking about the exercises or training on the ship, but her handshake with other naval officials. Strong and confident way beyond her years.

She's going to be a great queen

I think it has been great that the Royal House has updated regularly with pictures and videos - which makes it a shame the pap pictures that have emerged

The pap pictures and the images and videos released by the royal house are not the same obviously.

The royal house's images and videos are very crafted to show Leonor excelling in her role as a naval officer/student.

In contrast, the pap pictures shows us Leonor in ways we don't normally get to see.
Through the pap pics we see her in normal and natural environments and see that she is no different from any adult teens her age. She enjoys concerts, going to the beach with friends...etc.

I have been loving the pap pics and look forward to more as the voyage continues. As with all royals and celebrities, I only hope the paps can show restraint by taking a couple of pics then leaving the individual to enjoy their time.

The royal house is not going to release pictures of Leonor in a bikini, they're going to show the training she's undergoing in the Elcano because it's her daily life on board on a long journey.

The paps are there to get all the pictures they can get when she's having free time and enjoying being a teenager.

I was trying to say it's been great that the Royal House have regularly updated us with videos and pictures - so often they don't mark birthdays or anniversaries and leave us without new pictures of the Princess. Other houses as well don't always give updates on the young royals as they study be that military or education. this has been refreshing to see the progress of her journey.
