I suspect (and hope) that Princess Tsuguko might return to the Expo in late September for Sri Lanka National Day, since she has high connections with that country (an unofficial visit, and events along with Sri Lankan politicians).

On May 22nd, Princess Hisako attended a donation presentation ceremony at the Canadian Embassy in Tokyo.

... The Japanese Canadian Cultural Centre (JCCC) donated 10 million yen (approximately $100,000) each to three universities in three Tohoku prefectures affected by the Great East Japan Earthquake in 2011...
... Immediately after the 2011 earthquake and tsunami, the JCCC Foundation established the Japan Earthquake Relief Fund (JERF) to raise funds from Canadians to support the devastated Tohoku region. The initiative was prompted by an overwhelming response from Canadians wanting to help the affected areas. The funds raised were used to support Tohoku students who needed financial assistance to continue their higher education. Approximately $1.6 million was raised. JERF donated $100,000 to the Red Cross, $100,000 each to Fukushima, Miyagi, and Iwate prefectures for students up to high school age, and additional funds to support university student scholarships. A total of $1,179,679 has been disbursed to date...
....However, JERF representative Christine Nakamura explained the donation, saying, "14 years have passed since the earthquake, and we have determined that the fund has fulfilled its purpose. Therefore, the board of directors has decided to donate the remaining funds to three universities in equal amounts, with the hope that they will be used for academic purposes that require financial support and have some connection to Canada..."

Princess Tsuguko will visit Osaka Prefecture October 1st-2nd for a 4th visit to the Osaka-Kansai Expo 2025.

Her schedule is below:
* October 1st: arrival in the morning, lunch; visit to Poland Pavilion, "Adventure of Life" Pavilion, attend Poland National Day, visit to Japan Pavilion, Czechia Pavilion, Uzbekistan Pavilion; overnight stay, accomodation at Hotel New Otani Osaka.
* October 2nd: departure in the morning, arrival in Tokyo.

The schedule and subsequently also the link were put down yesterday after the arrangements for her visit had been firstly published yesterday morning. Giving a look at the new schedule, it is completely the same as the previous one, so I don't understand why the decided to withdraw it from the website. Searching on the official site, I discovered that a new trip by the Akishino couple has been added, and after it was, Tsuguko's one has been re-added too. Why?

If the schedule is the same, then perhaps the Expo organizers released the information too early? I don't think there were malicious reasons behind the initial deletion. Could have been a mistake.

Princess Tsuguko taking photos with EXPO participants:

The X user states that the photos were taken in front of Czechia Pavilion, but Tsuguko's dress and accessories let me think that the user posted photos of Tsuguko at her previous visit to the Expo, on 8-9 September, perhaps intending to post those actually in front of the Czech Republic Pavilion, but confusing the photos with those of the previous visit.

If the Czechia Pavilion posts photos, we could see if there has actually been a change of clothes.

Czech Republic and Poland were both generous in content when Princess Hisako visited their pavilions. I assume that will continue for Princess Tsuguko. 🤞

:previous: Early content about Princess Tsuguko in Shiga Prefecture for the 79th National Sports Festival:

On October 5th, Princess Tsuguko visited "Nanairo" exchange facility at the Hino railway station of the Omi Railway in Hino City.

At the "Nanairo", students from the local Hino high school, who run a café about once a month, presented the activities of the bar. Afterwards, they and Princess Tsuguko enjoyed a unique drink created by the students. The drinks were served on coasters handcrafted by students from the Ishibe class of Konan's Mikumo Special Needs School, affiliated with Hino High School.

Princess Tsuguko asked questions about the bar, and also remembered that she had played ping pong while in her youth - being also part of the ping pong club at school - when a student told her that he was playing that sport.

One of the students told the press: "I was very nervous, but I was glad that she [Princess Tsuguko] listened to me carefully and learned something about the city. She was kind and used beautiful words, and I think it was a rare experience".

On October 11th, Princess Hisako attended the Shinshu Housing Fair at White Ring (officially Nagano City Mashima Sports Arena) in Nagano Prefecture.

She also visited the special exhibition for the 35th anniversary of Higashiyama Kaii Gallery at Nagano Prefectural Art Museum. The exhibition displays the original-size sketch for the Imperial Palace mural, "Dawn Tide," a massive piece spanning six 4m x 2.5m panels for the first time. Due to its size, the museum spent 2 years framing and preparing the mural for exhibition.

Princess Hisako spent a day photographing birds during her unofficial visit to Iceland.
... Most of the birds have already migrated south for the winter, but we still found a few Golden Glovers — and some Rock Ptarmigans that instantly won her heart.
The day was calm and beautiful. A truly special experience with a gracious and inspiring guest.

Princess Hisako donated over 200 dog figurines to Aichi Prefectural Ceramic Museum. The collection began in 1928 when her grandmother, Tomoda Moriko, traveled to France with her husband, a diplomat, and collected items in Europe until 1939, when she returned to Japan due to war. Collecting resumed after the war and Princess Hisako inherited (was gifted?) the collection upon her marriage to Prince Takamado in 1984. She continued to collect dog figurines from around the world until recently.

The collection not only includes many figurines made by world-famous ceramic manufacturers, but also masterpieces made by small, little-known pottery factories with short operating periods, making it an interesting resource for ceramic history research.

The collection will be exhibited from December 13, 2025 to July 26, 2026.
