FNN posted more photos and details regarding Princess Tsuguko and Princess Hisako's visit to Ishikawa Prefecture on July 1st.

[...]

Princess Hisako told those involved in the morning market, "I used to come here several times when my eldest daughter was little," to which Princess Tsuguko smiled and recalled her memories of visiting Wajima, saying, "I was once scolded for catching too many goldfish (at a goldfish gathering competition)."

[...]

Princess Tsuguko noticed the T-shirts worn by those involved and commented, "You're making T-shirts for the morning market, aren't you?" Princess Hisako replied, "I hope the morning market can resume."

On July 16th (?), Princess Tsuguko and Princess Hisako attended an unspecified event about the Netherlands (possibly at Expo? I based my judgment regarding the user's following posts, but nor Hisako, nor Tsuguko were at the Expo after mid-July).

I checked also the Takamado agenda for this week, but couldn't find anything by now regarding that event, nor a past event that could match with this.

:previous: I think the dress Princess Hisako wore for Czech Republic National Day (July 24) is an updated version of the dress Princess Tsuguko wore in Sri Lanka in 2013.

The neckline is wider on Hisako. Although Tsuguko's appears to be top & skirt, perhaps it's a long dress underneath. The pattern and lace are the same after zooming in. Lighting, indoor vs outdoor, and photo quality can explain variations in the peach-orange color.

Princess Tsuguko watched the men's and women's team matches. Osaka's Kinki University High School won both competitions.

At the award ceremony, she said, "The experiences you have accumulated every day with your teammates to achieve your individual goals are truly worthy of the tournament's nickname, 'Open the Door to the Future, Chugoku Inter-High School Championships 2025.' They will be invaluable assets for your lifetime as you carve out your own future."

This year's National High School Athletic Meet (Inter-High) is being held mainly in five prefectures in the Chugoku region. Yamaguchi Prefecture is the venue for six events, including archery, table tennis, and badminton.

Her Imperial Highness Princess Takamado visits the UN Pavilion | UN Presence at Expo 2025 Osaka Kansai Japan: United for a better future

...Her Imperial Highness spoke passionately about UN projects she has visited in many countries, including UNRWA schools in Jordan, where she vividly recalled Palestine refugee students who shared their dreams of becoming doctors, teachers, and more. We were particularly pleased to learn that the UN Pavilion was the 100th Pavilion visited by Her Imperial Highness...

Hisako was spotted in front of the UK Pavilion."She was a very approachable person, and it was particularly memorable when she said, "It's not something to get *that* excited about," after we shook hands!"

Despite being a VIP, Hisako casually lined up for her turn at the stamp rally at Dynamic Equilibrium of Life. The poster was shocked and felt closer to a royal.

Prisma, do you think Princess Tsuguko and Princess Hisako will attend the funeral for Sen Genshitsu? I was thinking yes, but actually I don't know.

In past years I remember them attending events related to the Sen family, but as far as their attendance at the funeral, I don't know.

:previous: I don't know about Princess Hisako and Princess Tsuguko. Aside from the family connection, they could go to pay respects for his service to tea, promotion of peace, and longevity.

Urasenke announcement says the wake and funeral will be private with a farewell ceremony planned at a later date. Princess Akiko has attended events with Genshitsu Sen so I certainly anticipate her going to funeral or farewell event... and she's partially based in Kyoto anyway.

Only Akiko attended the tea ceremony showcasing cousin Takafumi Sen as heir apparent (wakasosho) of Urasenke but that was 2020 and the height of pandemic restrictions. I don't recall royal relatives at his older brother Akifumi Kikuchi's funeral last year, although his death was so sudden and unexpected, it may have been difficult to attend.

:previous: Princess Tsuguko at the Dynamic Equilibrium of Life Pavilion today:

That's the only reference related to her visit that I found today. She received no media coverage, and that's annoying and incorrect. On X, users complained about her visit's almost absent media coverage. Let's hope for a better situation tomorrow at the United Nations Special Day. By contrast, the day after tomorrow Princess Kako will surely receive articles by every newspaper regarding her own visit.

More photos of Princess Tsuguko at "Playground of Life: Jellyfish Pavilion" at Osaka-Kansai Expo on August 21. She arrived just after 4pm, stopping by the teahouse reception and entering through Life Park. Thematic Project Producer Sachiko Nakajima explained the pavilion's philosophy in front of the Tree of Creation. After commemorative photos, Princess Tsuguko experienced the "Listen to Me" and "Celebrate Me" sessions.

When Tsuguko saw Nakajima's jellyfish earrings, she commented, "I also have jellyfish and ephyra (baby jellyfish) earrings. I'm sorry I couldn't wear them today. I'll definitely wear put them next time." Tsuguko and Nakajima also had a lively moment reminiscing about Edinburgh.
