On September 29th, Princess Hisako attended the 20th Japan Football Hall of Fame Plaque Inauguration Ceremony at Tokyo Dome Hotel in Bunkyo, Tokyo.

Princess Hisako visited Kagawa Prefecture October 4-5. She visited Mount Yashima in Takamatsu City, which celebrates its 90th designation anniversary as Setonaikai National Park, on the 4th.

On the 5th, Princess Hisako attended the 36th Housing Life Month's central event "Housing Fair in Kagawa," where she spoke about the importance of home safety and housing education.

Princess Hisako will privately visit the United States November 14-19, primarily for the 1st Japan-US Friendship Kyudo Tournament. She will stay in San Francisco.

11/14: depart Japan, arrive in US, visit Redwood Kyudo Field and attend Kyudo Seminar
11/15: tournament reception at Hotel Nikko
11/16: opening ceremony of 1st Japan-US Friendship Tournament at San Mateo County Event Center
11/17: inspect activities of Special Overseas Provisional Chuo Shinsa, which is the examination board that awards ranks for the All Japan Kyudo Federation

She will also attend a meeting with officials of BirdLife International and tour the Golden Gate Bridge and Fisherman's Wharf in San Francisco.

On October 22nd, Princess Hisako attended the 2024 National Dietary Improvement Conference & 54th National Dietary Improvement Promoters Conference in Koriyama City, Fukushima Prefecture. Some 900 people gathered to improve diet and preserve local cuisine. Princess Hisako also toured the exhibition, recognizing local dishes she was served at lunch.

Princess Hisako will unofficially visit Poland from November 29 to December 5 for the 30th anniversary of Manggha Museum of Japanese Art and Technology. She will give a speech at the commemorative ceremony, attend a Noh performance and concert, among other events.

She attended the museum's opening with Prince Takamado on November 30, 1994 and visited in October 2015. This will be her 3rd visit to Poland.

Princess Hisako has canceled her November 14-19 private visit to the US due to mother-in-law Princess Yuriko's declining health. She was scheduled to attend kyudo tournament events, BirdLife meeting, meet Japanese expats, and tour local attractions near San Francisco, see post 968.

On November 13th, Princess Hisako attended the reception commemorating the 70th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Japan and Jordan at Meiji Kinenkan in Minato, Tokyo. Prince Hassan bin Talal and Princess Sarvath of Jordan also attended.

Princess Tsuguko visited Nara Prefecture November 12th-13th with UNICEF Caravan Campaign. Nara is one of the autumn stops of UNICEF, which also visited other Prefectures between October and early November.

On the 12th, Princess Tsuguko attended a meeting to exchange messages and opinions with vice governor Takeo Fukutani and superintendent of education Kenichi Oishi at the Nara prefecture office, followed by an interview with the media. In the afternoon, a training session was held by JCU members at Kashihara Man-yo Hall.

On the 13th, she attended a conference on "UNICEF and the Children of the World" for 87 fourth-year students at Masugakita Primary School in Kashihara City, and in the afternoon for 41 second-year students at Shirakashi School.

Princess Tsuguko visited Kyoto Prefecture October 17th-18th with UNICEF Caravan Campaign. Kyoto is one of the UNICEF autumn visits of this year.

On the 18th, she held a class for children at Kyotanba Town Mizuho Junior High School in Kyōtamba city. Then, she also gave practical demonstrations by having children carry weights. She explained the importance of children's rights globally and spoke about poor countries where children's rights are still not respected.

Princess Hisako visited Aichi Prefecture December 11-12 for the 2024 Aichi Prefectural Red Cross Conference and local area inspection. On December 12th, she visited Japanese Red Cross Nagoya Daini Hospital in Nagoya city before the conference.
