Princess Elisabeth, Duchess of Brabant News and Events 2, Feb 2024 -

If you have answers, please help by responding to the unanswered posts.
She has such a beautiful figure (genetics blessed her) and virtually anything would look good in her, I love the autumm vibes of the picture and the kinda boho look she's sporting.

Nice pics, which were again taken by fellow Harvard student Max Bueno, who is also a photographer (he had already taken the pics published in September by the Royal Palace to mark the beginning of the Academic year)

Now this is certainly something that will stand out on brilliant young Bruno's resume. How cool is it that Elisabeth is allowing a classmate to take her official portraits?
I absolutely love it!👍

ETA: I am also impressed that Lisa has become so popular at school.😉

What a wonder the good Max Bueno is!
I guess he will soon be "engaged" to Princess Elisabeth by the press.

Anyway, it's good she has found at least one friend at Harvard, who on top of that is very suitable at least on paper. May she find many more equally admirable young friends there.

seem like a background for a politician
My thoughts exactly, except that, as far as I understand, he is still in the Navy and probably has quite a few more years in the service before he can leave and pursue a political career.

She was also quite popular at Oxford (or so it seems). The fact that she is a crown princess, but, at the same time, very "down to earth" seems to help.

Crown Princess Elisabeth quietly took part in the Boston Half Marathon on Sunday.

Together with some friends she ran the 21.5 kilometers without any problems. The heir to the throne (23) finished in 1 hour and 46 minutes. Her regular bodyguard, a Flemish police officer, ran with her.

Photos of the Princess on the go.

Nothing

People looking at the wrong marathon (everyone reports it as Boston Marathon but it was the Cambridge one). If you search for Cambridge Half on the picture page, the princess shows up.

I am quite sure she’ll have a Thanksgiving break.

Which makes sense. Thanksgiving isn't a thing in Belgium and she'll be home in a few weeks, so no reason to fly back and forth to Belgium for a random weekend. I guess she's joining a friend for their thanksgiving weekend or spending the long weekend visiting new places.

Word is that she has become quite popular very quickly at Harvard. I wouldn't be surprised if she has been invited to spend the long weekend with friends.😊

Princess Elisabeth will start studying at Harvard University in Boston this summer it was announced today:

Is there any funding related to Elisabeth's Fulbright award or is she just part of a group of peers but doesn't herself receive funding (which would make sense as she doesn't need the funding unlike others who applied)? If she did receive funding, apparently, since February the funding has been 'paused' and it is unclear whether it will be reinstated - again, not a huge issue for the princess I suppose but it will be for others.

The Royal Palace is closely monitoring the situation. "Princess Elizabeth has just completed her first year," said Palace spokesperson Lore Vandoorne. "The impact of this decision, or if one is ever taken, will only become clear in the coming days or weeks. We are currently analyzing the situation."

Xavier Baert, the Palace's communications director, urges caution: "We must analyze the situation calmly and wait. Many things can still happen." The possibility of the university challenging the decision in court, and of Donald Trump overturning it, has not been ruled out.

I mean, she is probably one of the few foreign students who are little affected by the whole mess (beside of course on a personal level) as any other university will probably accept her for her second master's year with pleasure nor does she NEED a master from Harvard for her "career".

While I hope the whole situation sorts out quickly, I have little concern that the palace won't find a solution.
