If you take a closer look it is not black. The knitted top is brown and even the trousers and her shoes are brown. The material of the waistcoat also has a brown design. But I agree that she looks so beautiful, happy, relaxed and so much at ease.

I don't like such a long length for the pants, they are trailing on the floor and will soon get a ragged look. Plus it's dangerous!

Charlene on today's National Day - a lovely soft colour, maybe a skirt would have been slightly nicer, but it's okay. The only thing I really dislike is the sharp contrast with the black shoes and nylons:

I am a bit disappointed with her choice for the Church service on this special day. She does look immaculate and the colour is lovely. But, I don’t like the texture of the material as it seems more suited to either a spring/summer or even an evening event. I don’t think wearing trousers, particularly this cut of the trouser with the contrasting black stocking is a good look for the Church service. The jacket isn’t to my taste, but she looks great in that hat.

Charlene's style can be hit and miss ,the top half wasn't too bad but she can do much better for National Day.
