Today, May 7, Prince Albert and Princess Caroline visited the Basilique d'Argenteuil in Argenteuil, France:

An exceptional visit to the Basilica of Argenteuil ✨This Wednesday, May 7, amidst the throng of pilgrims who came to venerate the Holy Tunic, we had the honor of welcoming His Serene Highness Prince Albert II of Monaco, accompanied by HRH Princess Caroline of Hanover, for a private visit.Their discreet and reverent visit demonstrates a sincere attachment to this place of faith and history. Both humbly followed the pilgrims' path and bowed before the precious relic, guided by Bishop Benoît Bertrand, Bishop of the Diocese of Pontoise, and Father Guy-Emmanuel Cariot, Rector of the Basilica.🤝 A personal connection with ArgenteuilThis visit is also part of the special relationship the Prince and Princess maintain with our city. In December 2024, the Prince inaugurated a monumental fresco created by the artist Sckaro, paying tribute to their grandfather John B. Kelly, three-time Olympic rowing champion. 🚣‍♂️ On this occasion, a Seine embankment located just a few meters from the dock where he won his third gold medal at the 1924 Paris Olympics was named in his honor: the John B. Kelly Quay.🙏 Thank you to Their Highnesses for this visit, both intimate and symbolic, which helps to promote the memory, faith, and heritage of Argenteuil around the Holy Tunic. We wish them a pleasant reading of the comic book The Holy Tunic @editionsdutriomphe
