Princely Family of Liechtenstein Current Events 2: Aug 2023 -

I wonder when Josef Wenzel will start assuming some duties. Attending events like these are minor and not very taxing. He will be 30 years old this year and there seems to be very little he has done in preparation for his future role.
I guess only after he has become Hereditary Prince. And actually there are not too many duties in Liechtenstein for the members of the Princely Family. Probably they place more Valuer for his education to take over the business of the Princely Family

He has completed college and worked privately. He has not yet started a family.
That would be more excusable if he wanted private time to raise his family.

Waiting til he is the Hereditary Prince is a sharp learning curve already. Why not start now and learn on the job. Tips and tricks from his father and grandfather.

There hardly seems enough "work" for the three most senior royals at the moment so adding a 4th seems unnecessary IMO. There is plenty of time for Josef Wenzel to take on more when his father is Sovereign Prince. I get the impression the family like the heir to be trained up in the family business (as in its actual businesses) so he is probably doing that.

I also think that's what's going to happen. In Liechtenstein there are barely any regular events for the Sovereign Prince and Prince Alois and Princess Sophie to have a regular schedule, let alone for the future Crown Prince. He could even, from time to time, appear at events abroad such as royal weddings and other events. But it is a pity that little is known about his education, but the princely house does not have Joseph Wenzel's biography on its official website.

Roles are what you make them to be and there is lots to do in Liechtenstein and beyond its borders.
For example, the Princess Sophie is honorary president of the Liechtenstein Red Cross. She could participate events at home and abroad in association with the Red Cross.

As Hereditary Prince or Sovereign Joseph Wenzel will have little do with the family business. He will be too busy affairs as head of state or as his father's representative.

What he should be doing now is attending events at home and abroad with father. Sit in on a few meetings and/or attend parliamentary events. There is much training that he can benefit from.

He could have attended the New Year's reception, but he didn't, just of course.

Don't thinks. His grandfather restructured the Family business

I think, as the Head of the House the responsibility for everything lies on one's shoulder. The political and the economical affairs! Especially if one considers, that the bank, the Liechtenstein's have, is their second precious asset besides their political power in the principality.

So, I think Prince Wenzel is well advised to do everything to become an extraordinary banker and ruling Prince!
