I do not believe for one second that Prince William will not be attending Peter Phillips wedding in May. It's even rumoured that William will be one of peters best men. As for Kate attending the wedding without William well i just wonder did Kate recieve an invitation of her own or is she Williams plus one??
because if she recieved an invitation on her own, yes it maybe odd but she is well within her right to attend the ceremony if william is missing it.

And mentioned earlier was the fact that Prince Frederik and Princess Mary didn't attend the wedding of Prince Felipe and Princess Letizia. This is a completly different matter, they were on there honeymoon i wouldn't expect them to fly back from that just for a royal wedding. and William and Kate arent' even married.

I feel the same way. The D---- Mail story about Peter and Autumn made it sound like William and Kate were already on holiday, which we know isn't true due to Williams public appearances in Wales and Lancashire.

^Was it the Mail? I forgot already.... I thought it was the Sun. But anyway, it is a wacko story, and would be even more wacko if it turns out to be true. I agree that it's unlikely. And I also hope it's not true, because Peter is too close of a friend and cousin to William for William's missing his wedding just for a holiday (if it was something "work" related, I guess it would be less weird). Yes, Fred & Mary were on honeymoon, and besides, the DRF was represented at Felipe's wedding, probably Queen Margrethe & Henrik, but I forgot, so probably no one was offended there. ;)

Mail/Sun - is there a difference????:D:eek::bang:

BTW it could have been the sun, I'm so accustomed to laying everything at the Mail's door I could have it wrong.:flowers:

:previous: I think they are reporting the possibility that they are going on a tryst  to Mustique so they placed the "?" at the end.

I wonder if they are taking this holiday everyone is talking about before Saturday or if they will go after the wedding.

I know.:) I am continually amazed how speculation becomes a story. Whatever happened to reporting the news, rather than guessng what the news might be?:bang::bang:

Theres an article in the daily mail today about the rebranding of Chelsy Davy in time for the wedding next week.
But it also mention that the happy new couple will be away for the wedding?
I was doubted this illuded fantasy story that the press was making up but know my mind is thinking differently.
Here's the article.
The rebranding of Princess Chelsy: Prince Harry's girlfriend ditches the miniskirts and Red Bull as she prepares to meet The Queen | the Daily Mail
??
I didn't think that william would choose kate over a family wedding, and one such as this so close the the 'innner circle' it;s not like a wedding of a cousins son or something this is Peter Phillips his own cousin?

It is the new style of journalism - keep guessing and something will eventually turn out to be right :ROFLMAO:

It is not even a matter of choosing Kate over the wedding as all sources say that both she and Chelsy are invited. I really don't what to think about the whole holiday Vs wedding story, I do know I will be very surprised if he does go away. He can go on holidays anytime, Peter and Autumn are only going to get married once.

Ahhh, so that's what it is! Thanks for reminding me, Amelia. What was I thinking! I must have had a blond moment. Honestly, to be naive enough to think reporters and journalist actually report.

Unless and until I am proved wrong next weekend, I will continue to believe William and Kate are planning to attend the wedding. Missing his cousin's wedding to go on holiday just doesn't ring true for several reasons, not the least of which is that they will be roasted slowly over a hot fire in the court of public opinion!

It might be a matter of national security. There will be a LOT of unknowns and foreigners in the lot at the wedding, and rarely will they risk having Prince Charles AND Prince William AND Prince Henry at the same event ALONG WITH THE QUEEN!

It's simply protocol.

No it isn't. HM, Charles, William and Harry have been present at several huge events together. Security doesn't forbid them to be at the same place at the same time.

They all attend many functions such as Church together. If William takes Kate away for another expensive vacation when he agreed to be one of the Ushers the media will have a field day. And to give such a short notice of changing his mind -- would be just plain rude. The reason/excuse being Kate feels if she goes she will take away from the bride. Nice thought, but I doubt anyone will take the limelight away from the bridal couple.

On Holiday

I've just heard that Prince William and Kate Middleton have gone on holiday. My mate works at Heathrow who saw them get on a flight.

Maybe they will be back by Saturday since can't William not Peter wedding since he was goning to be an Usher. Where was the flight going?

I'm just inserting an opinion:

IF William is going to miss his cousin's wedding (who I've heard being call someone he "leant on" after the death of his mother), I will be very shocked, and a bit disgusted. Unlike a lot of people here I like Kate (I have my reasons!!), but it will really disgust me if she would go along with this when she made sure that William didn't back out of their date to her cousin's wedding after their break up last year. It just seems completely inappropriet to be missing Peters wedding for a holiday, no matter how long they've been seperated because of his duties (that's how it's going to be a lot of the time when he becomes Prince of Wales, and eventually King, so they might as well get used to it, and start learning to spend some time together IN THEIR OWN COUNTRY, possibly at home, watching TV or something, you don'ct have to be on a beach in the Carribean or the Med to have alone time together).

I would be happy to know your reasons to like Miss Middleton. I have no reasons to dislike or to like her.

Unfortunatly my mate doesn't know where the destination was.

:previous:
:ermm: Even if he did I certainly hope he wouldn't be telling people.

she probably just wants to get a tan for the wedding so i guess they will be back - remember they were on holidays prior to Laura's wedding

Given the speculation about the whereabouts of William and Kate, and if they are already on holiday, I am really surprised no paparazzi shots of them or press stories as to where they might be have so far come to light - especially if they have used commercial flights as suggested previously here!

But that's not really that uncommon is it? When they went to the Seychells last year, two pictures only ever came out, and it was several months later...

While pictures from the island itself might not be expected one might think that some from Heathrow would turn up. There were pictures of Kate at the airport leaving for the Seychelles last summer.

I'am pretty sure they both will attend the wedding! There is no way they will not attend!

I don't think Kate should be worried about upstaging anyone, her style isn't good enough to do that, which is how most women do so at weddings...well tacky women who want to take the attention away from the bride on purpose...LOL
