Can I make a prediction I might not live long enough to see? One day a future King William will knight Robert and Bindi Irwin.

The 20 year old has a furious fanbase on that show from his generation. I'm more his dad's generation since he was 2 years younger than me.

[…]
His son was too young to know him, or remember his dad and yet he acts like him. Humble, charismatic and appreciative of anyone that takes the time to talk to him. I now see why Prince William has become involved in Robert's projects, both lost one of their parents at an early age and both know how to be grateful when people approach them as extensions of that magic personality Princess Diana and Steve Irwin projected toward others.
Australia doesn't do knighthoods anymore so I doubt that William will be knighting either of them.

Australia has its own honours and knighthoods were one of the first to go, although we did have a PM try to re-introduce them about 10 years ago and that didn't go down well at all. As soon as he was out as PM the idea of Australian knighthoods was again condemned to the 'no never again' box.

No hope then for Robert and Bindi Irwin to be given even a title by King Charles, or a future King William, like Earl of Outback and Lady of 'Roo? Too bad. :(

Nope. We don't do titles or knighthoods. Many people will get honours on Australia Day but largely you will never know it as it isn't something they flaunt. I remember at my brother's funeral there were people who didn't know he had an Order of Australia. They met him after he was awarded it and he never told them and no one else told them either. He was proud of it, of course, but it wasn't something we boasted about.

The Prince of Wales has become patron of Max Worsley’s November expedition to Antarctica.

The expedition’s goal is to inspire young people to connect with nature while also raising awareness of the threats that climate change poses to Antarctica.

Max Worsley will raise funds for two charities: the British Exploring Society and the Earthshot Prize, which Prince William founded.

Prince William was the royal patron of Henry Worsley’s (Max’s father) last two expeditions.

Royal support for programmes like this is so vital to help them get visibility, and by extension, funding.

So, he was offered a private dinner at Windsor Castle by the king and an official welcome/reception at Kensington palace by the heir. That's quite an honor.

Prince William really seems to me, to have developed many of the same demeanor - personal characteristics of his Grandfather Prince Philip.
For example, in the picture a few up, posted by Lord- the-Manor. Very striking. William effortlessly projects strength and gravitas.

And also his grandmother, even though gravitas is not a term usually used for women. In fact, in my opinion, she did so even in photos when she was quite young, as when she was working during the Second World War.

Here are some more photos and another video of the first day of the visit today:
