If you have answers, please help by responding to the unanswered posts.
Ioanna is the daughter of Nikos (1931-1973) who was the founder of "Motor Oil", He died suddenly in 1973, his brother Vardis was the one who managed of Nikos company ( father of Ioanna), having him economic control of the company of Nikos, so Ioanna speaks in the spanish magazines of her uncle Vardis Vardinogiannis.

George, Chrysi's father worked for Nikos transporting oil.

Ioanna Vardinogiannis was in the burial in Tatoi of King Constantine, she is the blonde woman with glasses.

Maybe they find it inapropriate to announce an engagement if it' s the second or even third marriage for both.
Wonder how Niko will get along with her children since I believe they will live with their mother.
(..)
It is known that it is the second marriage for both of them. There is nothing wrong with that, and I am wishing them a happy marital life.
I found out that her children are 12 and 11 years old, not yet in the difficult transition to puberty. As we have learned they have been living together for a while and as a single mother Chrysi most probably took care of her children to get to know their new stepfather. It might be a totally new experience for Nikolaos and I could imagine that he is quite happy with this, and if he is a nice person, which I think he might be, it could develop into a very good relationship for all involved .

If they've been living together for awhile, her children needed to get used to another man in their mother's life soon after she broke up with her previous boyfriend of 3 years (after their parents divorce when they were still young) - as that only happened in december 2023. Not the best situation for them, so let's hope that this marriage will last.

She was with Konstantinos Markoulakis for 5 years!
I wish all parties involved the very best, and I'm glad Tatiana has moved on, but it's disheartening to read all this praise about Nikolaos finally marrying a "greek" woman, for all that matters, Tatiana loves Greece like a native and has devoted herself more to that country that Princess Alexia or Princess Theodora.
Not to mention the obscenities that would be yelled at her if she were the one marrying 3 months after getting divorced.

I must admit I has no knowledge about their circumstances, 3 or 5 years together. If that happened in december 2023 it sure is a lot for the children to adjust to yet another person in their family life. And yes, in that case I too hope that this marriage will last.

I don't know about this subject, but Chrysi's children have a boy 12 years old and a girl 11 years old, Chrysi has custody. Prince Nikolaos has been very involved in projects about childhood in recent years with Axion Hellas, I think that the relationship between the children of Chrysi and Nikolaos has to be very good, when he has chosen to get married.he is going to live with them

If you analyze the second royal weddings, that is, the weddings of divorced Princes, you will see that the weddings were much more discreet.
For example:
Prince Joachim with Alexandra Manley (1995-2005) it was a big wedding, with guests from Royal houses... But his second wedding with Marie Cavallier was very discreet and more familiar.
The then Prince of Wales, Charles and Diana, I will only say , that wedding went down in history, but with Camilla Parket, NOW QUEEN, it was a very discreet wedding, compared to the first, there were no royal houses, except the Greek one, due to family ties, and British nobility close to the British Royal family...
I think that in royal houses it is the norm, that the second marriage is discreet.
The discreet wedding of Prince Nikolaos and Chrysi, should not surprise us, it is normal in Royal Houses.

Chrysi Vardinogiannis is a beautiful woman.

I have read comments about his quick decision to get married, and I agree with those who have said that his age of Prince Nikolaos has been decisive. He is 55 years old, he has divorced after 20 years (14 of marriage) with the same woman... and a beautiful woman appears in his life, who shares his hobbies, he feels comfortable with her, and in love...
Look at the photos of Prince Nikolaos, the years are noticeable on him, his hair is starting to turn white, wrinkles are invading his face... he is 55 years old! That is true, if he stays in a this relationship for too long, it is very possible that he woul lose Chrysi, and the years continue to advance, he has done the right thing by getting engaged quickly.

It’s all interesting in theory, but it’s their business why they’re legalizing their relationship this way, and it’s their business why they’ll choose to stay together… or not. We’ll see.

Nikolaos will also have children for the first time after this, and while he hopefully knows them fairly well in turn, that’s got to be a huge adjustment.

You never know, but there could be many reasons they are getting married quickly. Maybe they have elderly relatives they want to ensure see the wedding or something. (..)

She is a very pretty and elegant woman, her blue eyes stand out (she is as pretty as her mother, Agapi).
As a couple, I like them. I have read that their friends say they are not surprised, because they both have a very similar character...
It is irrelevant if it is 6 months or 1 month, but it is obvious that they are in love.
Someone told me that they share solidarity projects about childhood, and that it is possible that their relationship was born at these events or meetings related to the projects.

Christos Costarellos, good choice

The Archbishop of Athens and all Greece, Ieronimos, blessed this morning the marriage of Prince Nikolaos and Chrysi.

Greece has economic problems and so on, but I wouldn't say it's poor.
It must be remembered that the Vardinogiannis' fortune does not belong to Chysi, the richest branch was the Vardis, we cannot attribute the Vardis fortune to his niece. Nor can we add the Vardis fortune to George, Chrysi's father.

The Vardinogiannis family maintains many charitable projects in Greece, perhaps the most relevant one is ELPIDIA for the medical treatment of children's cancer... It's a hospital. And many other projects, as well as the projects that Nikolaos has been managing at Axion Hellas, many have been financed by the Vardinogiannis and also, it must be said, most of the charitable projects that Tatiana has represented, the largest donor was the Vardinogiannis family.

Improving the economic conditions of the Greeks depends on their politicians, and the same is true in other countries.

:previous:This audience of Archbishop Iereonimos has been more discreet, and that is because they are divorced.

But what about the wife of King Alexander I, she was Greek?

But she lived in Greece for a short time, she lived in Italy.
Chrysi lives in Greece..

Yes Aspasia Manos was fully Greek and she became (after King Alexander died) Princess of Greece. It is a Princess of Greece that she is buried in Tatoi.
Furthermore I don't really know if she got the prédicat of HRH.

The marriage was morganatic. But after King's death the marriage was recognized officially and their daughter was a Royal Princess

Aspasia was HRH princess, too. It is true that she lived in Italy and did not show up at many royal parties.

Returning to the Archbishop's audience, there are some details:
They were alone, when Philippos and Nina were accompanied by KingConstantine and Queen Anna Maria, and with Theodora-Matthew were Queen Anna Maria and Prince Pavlos.

I ask a question, will they marry with crowns on their heads or with garlands?

I say this about the Crowns, because I think that this should be requested from the Orthodox Church by the highest representatives of the Royal House, which would be Queen Anna Maria and Crown Prince Pavlos.

The ritual of the crowns held up to the head of the couple during the marriage is not a Greek Orthodox custom, it is a Russian one. It is a habit brought to Greece by Queen Olga, who was a Russian Grand Duchess.
And it has nothing to do with royalty. Is happens to weddings of every social level in Russia but nowhere in Greece. And the meaning of the crowns is that the couple to marry during their wedding are like a King and Queen.
Now, to ask permission? No idea. Maybe, because it is a ritual outside the Greek Orthodox.

Not only in Russia, in all the other Orthodox churches is the same. It’s part of the wedding mass - the priest says “the groom is crowned” and “the bride is crowned”. And then, with the crowns on their heads (in the Romanian church the crowns are literally put on their heads) so with them crowned is the Isaac dance around the autel table.

This will be done with crowns, because it is a tradition of the Hellenic Royal House. I have seen an interview with the priest of that church who says so. But I have noticed that the church is small, but the outside surroundings are not very large either, so that the press and the public can be there. I think they have sought privacy and intimacy.

If they wanted privacy and intimacy they wouldn't have announce the date, place and time of the wedding.

Private and Intimate was Philippos' wedding in Switzerland.

Agree with the 1st part.
But Philippos wedding was completely different circumstances.
Civil wedding in full Covid era.

Mary23 , What is the Reaction in your Country about the Wedding of a Greek wealthy Lady with the Son of the last King of Greece ? Is it this the front page of your newspaper. Will the Wedding be seen in live ??
Being from Greece I can say public support for the Greek Royal Family is not very positive. There is lots of hatred about certain conspiracy theories revolving around the late King Constantine II. They characterise them as “unemployed” and that they aren’t Greek nor do they like Greece

What I see is that Greek magazines and media are constantly talking about this wedding. Even the morning programme on ANT1 has sections dedicated to this wedding, and it is not the only one. And yesterday, it was the MEGA channel that reported on it. According to what they tell me, this medio is not very friendly with the Greek Royal Family, and yet they were at the door of the church. When they talk about the wedding, it's because they have an audience ( King Constantine's funeral had an impressive audience)

Agree. Especially in social media some reactions are vulgar.
I don't understand... the last King left the public scene almost 57 years ago and Royalty was abolish legally 51 years ago. Why such a poison for the young generation ? They didn't do anything....
I don't know Chryssi, she is very secret, but she is a pretty woman. Why couldn't she atttact a nice man? I found very offensive for her to accuse him to ran behind her money.
And and the end of the day... if you don't like them... just don't follow their lives.

If Nikolaos had wanted to marry for money, he wouldn't have spent 20 years of his life with Tatiana. I'm not precisely thrilled with how fast everything has happened, but cmon, some people are just so pitiful they could poison themselves.

They won't be able to cope with it now that Tino will serve in the army.

Yesterday, on the profile of a journalist who follows Royal Families, she talked about Prince Nikolaos, and immediately comments appeared, saying that Greece was still a republic, that he was not a Prince, no greek, that he was a De Grece.... I recognize that the majority of the comments were good and congratulated the couple, but these three ugly ones are always the ones that stand out the most. Then I loved the response of a Greek profile, he responded to these three people: "You are on a profile that talks exclusively about royal houses, you always comment on these issues... Has anyone forced you to follow the Greek Royal Family? No, but you are here, why? If I don't like something, I don't follow it.
And he is completely right, they are very stupid, they don't like the Greek Royal Family but they follow it. And this can be generalized, some Greek journalists, when they speak, do so in a derogatory way towards the Royal Family, but the reality is that they are there following an event of the Royal Family. And they are the first to talk about Wedding
