The Princes of Asturias will inaugurate next Tuesday the library Francisco Ayala in the Cervantes Institute of Stockholm. The acts organized by the Cervantes centre, as a tribute to the Grenadian academic and writer, will count on the endorsement of the Princes, as an explicit support to his candidacy to the Nobel of Literature ( this is a proposal that is being presented to the Academy since 1996 and that receives a special strength this year of the IV Centenary of the Quijote). Francisco Ayala, who is celebrating 100 years old, is not only an outstanding Cervantin critical, but also the last survivor of the Spanish exiled writers, who would be somehow recognized by this Nobel.

Crown Princess Victoria will also attend the inauguration of the Cervantes Institute.

The Princes of Asturias and Princess Victoria of Sweden will inaugurate Tuesday the new Cervantes Institute of Stockholm, an act also attended by the writer Francisco Ayala, who gives the name to the library of the centre. Next Wednesday, Ayala will present his last book, The Invention of the Quijote, a compilation of articles and stories he has published throughout the years and that reflects his admiration towards el caballero de la triste figura. The work is published by Suma de Letras, with the collaboration of the Cervantes Institute.

The royal courts website does not give a time.There is an event at 19.30, but I dont know if that is the one the Princes and Victoria is attending. You can contact the Cervantes institute in sweden and ask, here is their homepage, there is a phone number and it also says that is does not cost anything to be there for the opening events.

So, I called the Cervantes Institute and asked when the inauguration would start. They told me that due to security reasons they were not allowed to tell me and that I could try to call the court and maybe they would tell me. Very very odd. I thought that you were allowed to go and see the royals.

Ayala will meet the Princes de Asturias today in the morning. After that meeting, Don Felipe and Doña Letizia will go to the Royal Palace, to have lunch with the King and Queen of Sweden, Carl Gustav and Silvia, and their eldest daughter, Princess Victoria. Already in the evening, Princess Victoria will accompany the Princes of Asturias to the inauguration of the Cervantes headquarters.

Why is Letizia wearing her coat inside when everyone else have taken theirs off? She has been very cold lately...

I love this coat but for some reason it doesn't look as good on Letizia as it would on someone else. The coat seems to overwhelm her tiny body. I think it would look much better on someone taller, with a fuller body and perhaps broader shoulders. It's a pity because it is such a lovely coat.

However I love love love this suit! Has she worn it before? This colour looks so lovely on her, unlike the usual harsh white she likes to wear so much. This colour makes her look much softer and more feminine.

The Princes of Asturias had lunch today, at the Royal Palace of Stockholm, with the King and Queen of Sweden, Carl Gustav and Silvia, and their eldest daughter, Princess Victoria. At one o’clock in the afternoon, Don Felipe and Doña Letizia arrived at the Royal Palace, after a meeting the writer, academic and Cervantes Prize Francisco Ayala, in the hotel of Stockholm where they are lodged.

After the lunch, the Princes of Asturias will inaugurate the headquarters of the Cervantes Institute in the Swedish capital, whose library will take the name of the Granadian writer.

After affectionately greeting their guests, the King and Queen of Sweden, along with Princess Victoria - especially effusive was the greeting between her and the Princes of Asturias - posed for the photographers. Princess Lilian, aunt of Carl Gustav, has also joined the group.

Next, they went to the dining-room of the Royal Palace, where the lunch took place, in a familiar and informal atmosphere, according to what the spokesmen have informed.
