Yes the media are very intrusive indeed and this does feel very much like the sort of harrassment EA and Caroline complained about going all the way to Europe's highest courts about. But EA should have learnt that keeping your mouth shut and walking on by without comment gives them nothing to report. The less you say, the less you react the more boring you are seen to be an the less the press with bother. Reacting like this just plays into their hand and makes it seem like he is worth following.

The intrusiveness always went hand in hand with (physical) altercations, like attacking a policeman after driving too fast or indecent behaviour like relieving himself at the Turkish pavillon at the Expo. EA always gave kind of 'reason' for becoming the focus of press or photographers, at least in the Caroline years.
