He a cutie and looks a lot like his father IMO.

Umberto is damn cute thanx 4 the pix! I like Aimone and Olga pretty much, gr8 names, pedigree & looks. The Italians can chose between 2 dashing couples as Heads of State, I still wonder y they dont wanna bring the monarchy back :D .

Being a royal doesn't have to do with having great names, pedigree and looks... I don't know much about Aimone, but Emanuele Filiberto is seen by Italians as everything BUT a possible head of state.

Oh my gosh! What a darling little guy. The picture of little Umberto in the rain or after a rain with the hat on is just too cute. Thank you.:flowers:

Prince Umberto represents the future of the Italian Royal Family.

At all the celebrations concerning the 150 of italian unity organised in Rome on the 19th of March Prince Aimone really looked as the future King of the country.

Princess Olga lives in Italy now?

Prince Aimone,Princess Olga and Prince Umberto live now in Milan where Prince Aimone works.
Now Prince Aimone ,Princess Olga and the little Princes Umberto and Amedeo will live only in Milan.

I really dislike her general attire in the first picture, she's almost unrecognizable!!

Thank you Cory for this link! Sometimes I look at page of UMI but not often and I'm glad that somebody did it and we can admire these beautiful young princes! Avanti Savoia-Aosta!

Does Prince Umberto have the brown eyes of his mother? Prince Aimone, Duke of Abruzzi has his father's blue eyes.

:flowers:

Lovely pictures of the two little princes. IMO this family is much more appealing than that o Emanuel-Filiberto, regardless as to who is the "most royal".

This family is miles more royal than EF family. EF mother is NOT royal and His wife neither.

Aimone's family is fully royal and in his wife's the only axception is Marina Karella.

But I agree with you. Regardless of this, Aimone's this family is very nice.

In some of the pictures the three Princes posed in front of a large portrait of Aimone's namesake grandfather, the 4th Duke of Aosta.

Unfortunately HRH Crown Prince Aimone has never known his grandfather who had died in 1948.
HRH Crown Prince Aimone of Savoy still works at the Pirelli Company but in Milan.

Really cute children... those dark eyes are wonderful !

I suppose soon there will be the baptism of HRH Prince Amedeo of Savoy, Duke of Abruzzi.

Princess Olga looks excellent in this color! It's a pity that we don't see her too often.

She was present recently at the funeral of Princess Silvia's mother.

Why do you assign her the title of Crown Princess? While I understand that the Duke of Aosta now claims headship of the House of Savoy, the Prince of Naples is generally still recognized as Head of the House and direct heir of his father the last King of Italy.
Neither gentleman enjoys an especially pristine reputation but there is no mechanism to remove Naples and Venice from the succession and replace them with Aosta and his line.

Mr.Vittorio-Emanuele of Savoy lost automatically his titles( and his dynastic rights) because of his marriage without a royal consent. His son, Mr.Emanuele-Filiberto of Savoy, had never obtained a royal decree for any title.
Since the death of King Umberto II, The Head of the Royal House of Savoy is HRH Prince Amedeo of Savoy (Duke of Savoy) and Crown Prince HRH Prince Aimone of Savoy (Duke of Aosta and of Puglia).
How could we call the wife of the Crown Prince if not Crown Princess?

We should NOT call them Crown Prince's couple. Even their official site, claiming the title of head of the Royal Italian family, does NOT do it.

I think, to be a Crown Prince, you have to be kid of a King, but Prince Aimone's father, has NEVER been King of Italy.

Did Italy even use the title of Crown Prince during the monarchy?
If Aosta is the "legitimate" heir to the non-existent monarchy why did it take him so long to press his claims?
Like so many fallen monarchies these multiple claimants make them and their supporters look silly. If they cannot agree amongst themselves how can they expect their supporters to even think that monarchy would be a unifying thing for the nation.
