That was the Sacred Oriflamme of Saint-Denis ,the one of Philippe II was destroyed during the English Occupation in the 1420's and a new one was installed by Louis XI ,this was burnt in 1793 during the French Revolution.

The Nation Convention decreed its destruction in 1793 along with all other symbols of the Monarchy and Feudalism.
There was a huge bonfire lit in Paris where Royal robes, Royal Flags ,Banners ,thrones and the entrails of the Kings and Queens were burnt on the pyre
