February 15, 1710 - Birth of Louis XV, King of France, at the Palace of Versailles
At the time of his birth he was the great-grandson of Louis XIV and the second surviving son of the duke and duchess of Burgundy.
In 1711 his grandfather the Dauphin died and in 1712 an outbreak of measles at Versailles caused the deaths of both of his parents and his older brother.
 
February 28, 1518 - Birth of Francis III, Duke of Brittany, son of Francis I of France and Claude of Brittany

François was Dauphin of France from birth and then Duke of Brittany after the death of his mother in 1524.
He was the last Duke also to have an Ducal investiture ceremony , which was held in 1532 at cathedral of Saint-Pierre in Rennes.
 
March 4, 1188 - Birth of Blanche of Castile, Queen of Louis VIII of France

Blanche was handpicked by her grandmother Queen Eleanor and the elderly matriarch had actually travelled in the winter of 1199 to Castile.
What a journey that would have been for Eleanor in her advanced years .
Possibly one of the best travelled Medieval Queens!
