I just visualise somebody sitting at a laptop updating the spreadsheet with outfits , when worn with which accessories at what event. When it was cleaned and pressed, if it was adjusted. If it is on loan, or purchased outright. The designer or high street, maybe even photographs taken at each event attached. I would love that job.
I just read…and cannot remember where, sorry,…but a lime green formal dress that Princess Kate wore not to long ago was rented. I remember the word rented and thought that was strange but yet made sense at the same
time. Lime green is not a color that would stay in fashion for years. Does anyone have any information on that?

I think it was the lime dress worn to an Earthshot event. I cannot recall where. It was a pretty strong colour. I think the message was about waste and recycling , appropriate for Earthshot. I am hopeless at downloading photographs etc but I am sure if you google it then it will pop up.

I think that was to the Earthshot awards. And IIRC- people were encouraged to wear rented and/or outfits they already had.

ETA- That was when I learned you could rent clothes.

The lime green dress was for the Earthshot awards ceremony in Boston in December 2022.

Photos here

She apparently rented the gown from a company called Hurr at a cost of 74 pounds.
