The President of Nigeria will undertake a State Visit to the United Kingdom from 18 to 19 March 2026.

The President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Mr. Bola Ahmed Tinubu, accompanied by the First Lady, Mrs. Oluremi Tinubu, has accepted an invitation from His Majesty The King to pay a State Visit to the United Kingdom from Wednesday, 18th March to Thursday, 19th March 2026. The King and Queen will host the State Visit at Windsor Castle.

Look forward. State banquets at Windsor are so special.

Its a magnificent setting for State Visits and banquets.
BP does such a good job to pair visitors at state banquets with other guests with things in common. Query if any 43% Nigerian people might be invited?

Indeed. Hope they will continue to use it for State Banquets after the renovation at BP are finished
I suspect they will revert to the pattern during most of QE2's reign: most state visits will be based at BP / London, with some at Windsor from time to tme.

It will be very nice to see another state visit taking place at Windsor Castle.

A tiny bit of me misses the processions from horse guards parade and down the mall to Buckingham Palace… But the long walk and the quadrangle makes a great substitute.

Indeed. Wonder if they could not make the Welcome Ceremony and carriage procession in the morning in London and then move to Windsor for the State Banquet.

The backdrop of the castle is simply majestic at Windsor.

Has anyone any experience of watching the carriage procession in Windsor for a state visit - what is the view like? best place etc
