Prince Nicolae's wife put on a show on the slope. Alina of Romania snowboards like a pro
Alina of Romania has always appeared smiling in public, but reserved in photos. Well, this time, Prince Nicolae's wife showed fans a different pose, calling her "the coolest figure of the Royal House of Romania".
The way she moved with the board on the slope impressed. With an impeccable and surprising technique, Alina of Romania demonstrated that she is passionate and master of this winter sport.

Values-based education: a dialogue with Nicolae of Romania about family and Kinderama
Nicolae of Romania, along with his family, is actively involved in supporting education based on values, dialogue and multicultural openness.
How did you discover Kinderama and what attracted you most to this concept?
I discovered Kinderama because it is close to our home. I was immediately attracted by the multicultural concept, the integration of the German language in a natural way, as well as the warm and open atmosphere that I felt from the first interaction. Also, the fact that Kinderama offers, within the campus, a variety of extracurricular activities was an important criterion in our choice.
What were the first impressions after the first weeks in the Kinderama community?
The first impressions were extremely positive. Maria came home excited and happy, and the adaptation was much easier than we expected. In fact, Maria felt "at home" from the first day, and along the way she developed very well and goes to Kinderama with joy. Mihai needed more time to separate himself from us, the parents, but now he goes with pleasure and we can clearly see that he feels good too, still "at home".
What role do you think the German language and multiculturalism play in children's education?
Maria and Mihai are exposed to three languages: Romanian, German and English. This exposure to multiculturalism gives them a real openness to the world. It's not just about foreign languages, but about flexibility in thinking, tolerance and the ability to understand and respect differences from an early age. Also, the German language, like English, is part of their identity and our family's roots.

HRH Prince Nicolae at the Centennial events of the Vâlcea Chamber of Commerce and Industry
Friday, February 13, 2026, the Vâlcea Chamber of Commerce and Industry celebrated its 100th anniversary since its founding.
On this occasion, several events were organized, which began with the "Te Deum" service performed by His Eminence Father Varsanufie, Archbishop of Râmnicu, at the Archbishopric Cathedral, where HRH Prince Nicolae was also present.

Nicolae spoke at the event

Nicolae gave a large interview to Libertatea:
Nicolae of Romania, the grandson of King Mihai, says, in an interview given exclusively to Libertatea, that currently there is a favorable context for the monarchy in the country and that more and more people want a different form of leadership.
Have you received proposals to enter politics in the last 10 years?
– Every time there are elections, I am approached. I talked to several parties, I listened to them, I thanked them, but I told them that it is not my time yet, I still have things to do. The party representatives did not promise me certain concrete things, but they gave me to understand that there would be certain benefits if I agreed to run for a certain position from party X or Y. But that is not important. The monarchy has always been above politics. And the Romanian political class is now in a crisis and I do not want to get involved in this crisis. But I do not rule out the idea of entering politics at some point. But now is not the time to enter politics, neither for me nor for my family. But I don't rule out a collaboration. For example, if I were appointed honorary ambassador for tourism, to represent Romania worldwide. I would gladly accept such a proposal, under certain circumstances.

Looking at her recent transformation, which culminates in this new look that celebrates women around March 8th, we see how, in full maturity, Alina-Maria is not just the wife of a royal descendant, but a presence in her own right: modern, graceful, and in continuous bloom.

Alina-Maria published this lovely photo yesterday, on International Women's Day:
"In each of us, women, there is a queen.
I wish you to discover her and love her as only women can.
Soon, I invite you to an event dedicated to elegance, grace and refinement "

On 22nd March:
"We are honored to have with us Nicolae of Romania, the grandson of King Mihai I of Romania and the son of Princess Elena of Romania.
Over the years, he has supported civic initiatives and projects dedicated to youth, education and the promotion of historical and cultural values. Through his public activity, he encourages social responsibility, community involvement and respect for national identity.
His presence at the festival will bring a balanced perspective on the role of values in contemporary society and on how each of us can contribute to the common good."

Interesting choice to send their children to a school where they also learn German. Given that Nicholas indicates that they also speak English and Romanian, I assume Nicholas speaks English with them and Alina Maria Romanian.

Alina's ancestors have some parts that have German roots. Many towns in Transylvania have German origins, when Saxons were invited to settle starting in the 14th century. To this day there are families in Romania with German roots that still speak German, as well as a huge Hungarian speaking minority.
