Nicolae yesterday and today during the Royal Days in Caransebeș – two days dedicated to the memory of King Mihai I of Romania.

His Highness Prince Nicolae is in Caransebeș and his program includes meetings with high school and college students, presentation of the album "My Grandfather, King Mihai I", an autograph session, screening of the film "King Mihai: The Road Home" and participation in a classical music concert organized at the Synagogue.
An important moment was the presentation of the album "My Grandfather, King Mihai I" at the Caransebeș City Hall, in the presence of Mayor Felix Borcean, City Manager Florin Bogdea and many cultural figures from the city. The book offers an emotional foray into His Majesty's family life, through a selection of photographs taken by Nicolae himself, who wanted to present the King in the role of grandfather and head of the family. Prince Nicolae spoke about his childhood with King Mihai, about his passions and the difficulties encountered by the royal family, or about his return to Romania in 1992.

Mayor Felix Borcean at his Facebook yesterday:
"We were honored to host several events today on the occasion of the visit of Prince Nicolae, the grandson of King Mihai I, at the Caransebeș City Hall, where he presented the memorial album "My Grandfather, King Mihai", and at the "Luna" Cinema, the documentary "King Mihai - the Road Home"
Emotional, unforgettable moments..."

Nicolae signed his book
"I had the pleasure of attending the meeting with HRH @nicolaealromania, who presented his book about his grandfather, King Mihai I. A moment full of emotion, inspiration and deep respect for the values and dignity of the Royal House of Romania."

Prince Nicolae at the Caransebeș Museum
His Highness Prince Nicolae recently paid a visit with profound cultural and educational significance to Caransebeș.
A special moment of the visit was the stop at the County Museum of Ethnography and the Border Regiment in Caransebeș, where His Highness was welcomed by the manager Diana Țîrdea, who invited him to sign the institution's Book of Honor. Prince Nicolae enjoyed a guided tour of the museum exhibitions with museum specialists – starting with the statue of Empress Sisi, recently restored and located at the entrance and ending with the forester’s house in the museum courtyard, a symbol of the traditions, culture and identity of Mountain Banat.
Diana Țîrdea: “His Royal Highness’ visit brought emotion, inspiration and gratitude to the Caransebeș community, strengthening the connection between history, education and authentic Romanian values”.

"The beginning of the week we were in the municipality of Caransebeș, among the students and teachers of the Max Auschnit Technological High School.
@nicolaealromaniei held an interactive dialogue with the students about the History of Royalty. It was, as always, a delight to interact with the young generations, in whom we have great confidence and whom we support in the process of harmonious development."

Royal Stories in Caransebeș: A Conversation with King Mihai's Nephew, Nicolae of Romania
"It is important to be a messenger of the values transmitted by ancestors in this society that lacks values, examples to follow, characters from whom you can truly be inspired. My role is to be a messenger, to pass on not only what King Mihai represented, but also our ancestors. That is why I came to Caransebeș", Nicolae of Romania told Express de Banat.
"It's not easy to belong to a royal family. It involves responsibility and I feel the weight of my ancestors, their sacrifice and everything they did for Romania. Carrying this legacy forward is not easy, besides the fact that I am also a public figure."

"A special day, full of emotion and joy! It was an honor to welcome His Royal Highness, Prince Nicolae, who was on a cultural tour in Caransebeş, to the ESARTDECOR store.
On this occasion, I wanted to offer a small gift made with heart, continuing a tradition started years ago. Moments like this bring inspiration and give meaning to my work — that of creating beauty that lasts over time. Thank you for visiting, it was an honor"

The discussion transcended the boundaries of history, becoming a true lesson in character, dignity, and public ethics in the face of life's challenges.
The students gave a presentation on the profound meaning of the Monarchy, revisiting the fundamental principles that define a Crown: sovereignty, its role as a factor of stability and as a source of ethical inspiration for a nation.

The dress was created especially for the princess by the Vero Atelier brand from Piatra Neamț, as posted on the fashion house's Instagram page: "We are honored to share an unforgettable experience! Alina-Maria visited yesterday Iutta
"Today we had a very special visit to the @iuttaofficial pop-up near the Romanian Athenaeum.
We enjoyed the presence of Alina Maria de România, who explored our universe created from craftsmanship, ancestral symbols and pieces made in small series.
Alongside her was Dan Drăghicescu, co-producer of the documentary film "Maria, the Heart of Romania", a production that pays homage to one of the most luminous figures in our history.
Amidst the workshops, fabrics and symbols, their visit was a reminder of the deep connection between heritage, art and the identity that we carry forward through each IUTTA creation."

I like this couple more and more each time I see them on the news posted at TRFs. If Romania's politicians decided to revert back to a constitutional monarchy and select the representative themselves, I'm hoping it would be Nicholas over the Custodian of the Crown and Nicholas' estranged mother, the current in-reserve back up.

"Peregrin prin București" is a 4-volume dictionary of Bucharest streets, created by Ion M. Miron. The book presents the history and names of the streets in Bucharest, providing detailed information about them. It is a complex work, of great documentary value for anyone interested in the history and toponymy of the city.

Nicolae was yesterday in Alba Iulia:
"A dreamy evening in Alba Iulia, where we celebrated the Romanian spirit in its purest form! The event "ROMANIA INSPIRES. Alba Iulia Unites", organized by Rotary Alba Iulia, was a true lesson in elegance, values and unity. ❤️

Prince Nicolae, heartfelt visit to the Faculty of Orthodox Theology in Alba Iulia! He spoke with students and professors
Prince Nicolae visited the Faculty of Orthodox Theology on December 2. He was welcomed by Father Răzvan Brudiu, the interim dean of the faculty, and by Father Professor Oliviu Botoi, cultural advisor to the Orthodox Archdiocese of Alba Iulia.
At the Sacred Art specialization workshops the prince spoke with students and professors, taking an interest in the works produced and the artistic techniques used. The young artists presented their projects and discussed the role of Byzantine art in preserving the spiritual identity of Romanians.
Prince Nicolae spoke to theology students about the importance of national identity and the fact that "faith is fundamental to the health and prosperity of a country."
He visited also the Chapel of the Faculty of Theology, where he learned more details about the institution's liturgical and pastoral activities.

On December 7 at the Gaudeamus Book Fair
At the Vremea Publishing House stand, Prince Nicolae of Romania launches the album "Peleș Castle, the King's Gift", an album that was among the wedding gifts of King Carol I for a bride from the Rațiu family. Carefully and respectfully preserved, the album was given again, more than a century later, to Nicolae and Alina-Maria of Romania, at their wedding, on September 30, 2018. The bride and groom wanted to share the gift, in light of the desire of King Carol I and his descendants to make Peleș Castle accessible to all Romanians.

The album 'Peleș Castle. The King's Gift', with an introductory study by Narcis Dorin Ion and a foreword by Nicolae of Romania, was launched on today at the Gaudeamus Book Fair.
The founder of Vremea Publishing House, Silvia Colfescu, said that the album 'is valuable for what it is, that is, a collection of historical photographs of Peleș Palace, prior to 1912'.
Nicolae said that the album is absolutely wonderful, it looks much better than the original album: "For me, Peleș Castle has always been a place from stories. Since I was five years old, I heard stories about this castle from King Mihai. This album is a reminder of the Romanian heritage, of our history and identity, and we must not forget what country we are, what people we are and who created this modern state, who stood shoulder to shoulder with King Carol I, with the royal family. When I saw the castle for the first time, I couldn't believe that I had arrived at that place. There are some photos in this album with snow up to my chest. That's how it was when I arrived in 2007. When I was driving up from the forest, this castle appeared. It was something absolutely extraordinary for me".

Nicolae and Alina-Maria attended Queen Mary's inauguration in Bran yesterday.

Nicolae at the inauguration of the statue of Queen Maria at the Bran Central Park, on the 150th anniversary of the Queen's birth: "A gesture of gratitude and respect, 150 years after the birth of Queen Maria, for one of the most beloved figures in our history. Thanks to the Association of Sons and Friends of Bran and Bran City Hall for this initiative that honors Romanian memory and values. Bran was more than a residence for Queen Maria - it was home, a place of peace and soul, which she loved deeply and which she placed on the world map as a symbol of Romania. Queen Maria was an example of courage, responsibility and faith in the destiny of a nation. She proudly wore the traditional dress, defended the Romanian identity and became an ambassador of Romania, speaking to the world about who we are with dignity and passion. She remains a moral landmark, a light and an example to follow for young people, through her unconditional love for the country and the people."

Nicolae was today in Jecza Gallery at the celebration of painter Constantin Flondor's 89th birthday.

Nicolae, Alina-Maria and children at a Christmas Concert:
At the fourth edition of the “Together for Christmas” concert, organized by the Victoria of Children through Education Foundation, in the Saint Joseph Cathedral in Bucharest, His Highness Prince Nicolae, together with his wife Alina-Maria de Roumanie and family, was a pillar of trust and unity.
The event brought together, under the same roof, pillars of the community: His Holiness the Metropolitan Archbishop of Bucharest, Aurel Percă, His Excellency Mr. Emil Hurezeanu...
The concert will be shared with everyone through Romanian Television, Sunday, December 21.

As part of the History of Royalty in Schools Project, Nicolae visited the Italian School "Aldo Moro", in a meeting dedicated to dialogue and the discovery of the values that were the basis of the construction of modern Romania.
The visit aimed to bring closer to the younger generation the history of the Romanian monarchy, its role in the development of society and the importance of historical memory, in an open, educational and authentic setting. An opportunity for reflection, curiosity and connection between the past and the present, through education.

This week, our school had the honor of welcoming His Royal Highness Prince Nicolae of Romania, in a special meeting dedicated to the Royal House.
Prince Nicolae spoke to the students about the history of the royal family, answered questions and presented objects with symbolic value, in a warm atmosphere, complemented by the students' carols. The visit is part of the specificity of our school, which emphasizes meetings with personalities who inspire the younger generation.

Prince Nicolae makes emotional statements during an exclusive interview broadcast on Christmas Eve on Antena Stars, on the show "Christmas of the Stars".
Nicolae: "Around Christmas I like it when we all gather. It's a very beautiful dynamic, everyone comes with their own story, each with their own memory, we enjoy our children, simply, to be with each other. (...) I enjoy not only those who are at home with us, but my thoughts are with all my loved ones, even if my mother is not with us physically, I think of her. My sister, my nephew, my cousins in the United States, of course, I think about the moments spent with my grandparents".
Alina-Maria: "There are traditions that we have taken over from our family and traditions that we have created ourselves. We like to invite carolers to our house, to have the house caroled, to arrange the house, to light it. Children enjoy these moments when we decorate the tree, when everyone thinks fondly of the moment when the gifts will be opened and the joy on their faces when they see a surprise."

OK Romania's article about Nicolae and Alina-Maria's interview broadcast on Christmas Eve on Antena Stars, on the show "Christmas of the Stars".
Nicolae said among other things:
"I talk to a lot of students in the country and we talk about volunteering. And they ask me what volunteering actually means. And I tell them very simply: volunteering is about putting a smile on your face."
Asked to choose one thing for Christmas that will last for generations, Nicolae chose "The joy of being together. We can have all the money in the world, it doesn't necessarily bring us joy, people bring us joy. Not technology, not phones, but people, a kind word, a hug, a joke or simply this silence between people."
"Let's not forget the loved ones around us, let's show them love, let's create joy and let each of us be an example, without pride, without expectations. The joy of giving."

Nicolae and his friend Nigel Baker were making a documentary of Romania in the summer.

Now Nicolae has published the first episode at his Youtube channel:
My Romania, Unspoken Romania
This is my journey, through which I invite you to follow me and let me show you, like a friend, my country – my Romania.
It is about people, traditions, authenticity, and our identity, told simply, honestly, without filters.
In this episode we discover Bucovina, a place where time seems to slow down. Joining me on this journey is a childhood friend, my former schoolmate, Nigel Baker, who discovers Romania through my eyes—from the inside, not from tourist guides.
2026 will be the year of stories. Stories about who we are, where we come from, and what we pass on. If you want to see Romania beyond clichés—alive and real—I invite you to come along with me. Watch the film and let’s discover Romania together.

Nicolae and Alina visited the National Museum of Art Timișoara:
In the lucid, white days of January 2026, the National Museum of Art Timișoara experienced one of those rare moments when history, the present, and the promise of the future quietly converged—without spectacle, yet with profound intensity.
Among the many visitors to Fragility of the Eternal. From Pompeii to the Grand Tour, to Today, we were honored by the presence of Nicolae al Romaniei and Alina-Maria, together with their children, Maria and Mihai.
