Nicolae and Alina-Maria have been in Oslo together with their friend Andrei Ștefan (who made the choreography to their wedding dance).

Nicolae and Alina-Maria were at the launch of Wilou-Signature collection (William Concept: A Remarkable Collaboration with Designer Count Louis de Limburg Stirum) in Monaco:

The children's kindergarten:
"We have great news!
At the Open Day on April 5th, we will have a family dear to the Kinderama community with us: @nicolaealromaniei @alinamariaderoumanie
Their children are already part of our family, and at the event, the parents will share their experience at Kinderama – how the transition was, what they discovered here and what made them choose German-language education for their little ones.
It is a great opportunity for all interested parents to find out directly, honestly and authentically what everyday life in the kindergarten and our future school is like! See you on April 5th!

Nicolae celebrates today his 40th birthday.

The Movement for the Kingdom and the Crown congratulates Nicolae
"His Royal Highness Prince Nicolae of Romania celebrates his 40th birthday today!
For more than ten years, the grandson of King Mihai has been fulfilling his grandfather's hope to live in Romania and work for the Romanian people, so that "at the time decided by God, he can put things in their proper place." Like his grandfather Prince Nicolae has won the hearts of Romanians, enjoying respect, love and admiration. If in his first years in the country where his grandfather was twice King, the sympathy and love of Romanians were due, beyond his charisma and personal charm, to his quality as the grandson of King Mihai, today, His Royal Highness Prince Nicolae is a landmark, a distinct personality, an unmistakable voice. Promoting value, continuing the dream of King Mihai and the traditions of the Romanian Crown, Nicolae has his own vision, with a visible spiritual dimension, with which he builds important projects for the country, true bridges to the future.
Together with his wife, Alina-Maria of Romania, and the two royal offspring, Maria-Alexandra and Mihai, they embody the Christian family united under the royal motto "Nihil sine Deo"."

One would hope such a birthday would be a good moment to reflect. Nicolas is 40 now, married with a charming Romanian woman and together they have two children. He is next in line for his generation. and there are no other willing successors anywhere to be found. It really is time to burry the hatchet.. And if not, the Crown Princess will need to reflect on who else in the next generation can be the representative of the former ruling dynasty or if she prefers her work to end with her and her husband. There is no other pragmatic choice to be made.

The Romanian Royal House should resolve this issue. Nicolas is one of the best known people in the Romanian royal family, he has a Romanian wife, children and a desire to represent the royal house, he is the obvious choice. It will probably be Princess Elena in the future who will resolve this issue, if she is the one who succeeds Margareta.

Its not really a good image for the Romanian Royal House to have such toxic relations between parents and their children and aunt!
It is indeed time to bury the hatchet and make up before its too late!

For his 40th birthday, Nicolae shared two photos, which I think are new.

It is unfortunate that Her Majesty the Custodian of the Crown does not seem to desire a relationship with her nephew, who has indeed created a meaningful life alongside his very kind and strong wife. One worries that perhaps Her Majesty and Her Consort have the goal of being the last of the Royal Family to perform any function in Romania. It would be a miracle if she would restore Nicholas to his royal title and status, the stripping away of which I still believe was dubious in nature.

I guess Nicholas should first seek to reconcile with his mother; I don't think his aunt wants to bypass her sister in any potential future restoration (to a title that he only had for a few years - unlike his sister, his female cousins and one male cousin, who just like him are descendants in the female line).

For his 40th birthday, Nicolae shared two photos, which I think are new.

The photos are not new, they have been taken in 2023. Alina-Maria published one of them already in October 2023:

Nicolae writes so beautifully with the photos:
"Today I turn 40… and no, it’s not a hoax! Thank you for the last 40 years, for my wonderful family, for the children who make my life more beautiful and for all the lessons learned. Life is just beginning, and with you by my side, I know that there are many more unforgettable moments to come!
Thank you for your support, for your friendship and for all the beautiful wishes!"

We have no idea what exactly the relations are. It could also be that the mother listens to the head of the family, the custodian of the crown. It could be both sisters are in total agreement. But as head of the family and custodian Margaretha has a responsibility that is bigger than that to her sister. There now is no successor and it is clear for all that the only candidate available in the next generation -as well as the next in line- is Nicholas. He lives in Romania, he speaks the language, he is next in line, he was prepared for the role until he wasn't, he seems to want the role and he indeed now has a meaningful life there and a lovely family and wife.

It is Margaretha's responsibility to arrange her succession. She needs to take the initiative and either make amends or look and prepare an alternative candidate. There seems to be no movement there at all, which is puzzling. With or without Margaretha's blessing I think Nicholas will be regarded as the head of the family once she and her sister have passed. I would not be surprised if he simply self-declares himself so and dispute any alternative succession. It would be better if the eventual transfer happened with the custodian's blessing and guidance. That she does not arrange the succession indeed indicates that she intends to be the last of the line.

I really find it mind boggling that HM simply has made no arrangements. One wonders if other interests are at stake. Over the years of course Prince Radu and his family are sometimes suspected of polluting the waters for their own [financial?] self-interest but I am not sure in how far that is malicious gossip, projection or reality.

Perhaps in the future we will see a disputed headship for the royal family in Romania similar to the Two Sicilies, Braganzas and the Orleans/Bourbons.

Hasn't Nicolae made demeaning comments about the Custodian and her consort, or am I confusing the remarks from his supporters with the remarks made by Nicolae himself? At the very least, Nicolae is clear that he does not acknowledge his aunt or late grandfather (at the time of his death) as the legitimate heads of the royal family (he continues to use a royal title for himself and present himself as the heir despite their decision to the contrary), and he has not put a stop to his supporters' attacks on his aunt and uncle. Her Majesty may or may not be willing to reconcile in principle, but it would seem an impossibility to reconcile with a nephew who is so manifestly unwilling to reconcile with her. As Marengo pointed out, Nicolae will likely find himself without any serious rivals for the "throne" after the older generation passes away, so he may see no practical reason to soften his intransigence.

When we see the important hosts of Elisabeta Palace , they will never consider Nicolae as an official Royal Roumanian nowadays and later..

Nicolae and Alina-Maria have been at Bran Castle (Dracula's Castle) with their friends Andrei and Andreea Ștefan. A birthday party?

He is acknowledging his grandfather (and grandmother) with all occasions. If I am not mistaken he has even written a book about his grandfather, I have to check.

Radu is suspected to be from the previous Securitate (the secret service) and that he has been planted to Margareta.

LE He did write a book, “My grandfather King Mihai”

Photos from Nicolae's 40th birthday party.

So it was his birthday party at Bran Castle, like I wrote. Nice to see Alina-Maria's family there, their godfather at their wedding Liviu Popescu, all their friends, also Hereditary Prince Philip and Princess Danica there.

Their children's kindergarten Kinderama published a nice photo of the family on Kinderama Open Day today:
The Romanian family @nicolaealromaniei and @alinamariaderoumanie are with us today at Kinderama!
We thank them for the honor of being close to us on such an important day for our community. Their presence brings additional inspiration and support for education with a soul.

Andreea Stefan published more photos from the birthday party:
... This time I had the honor and privilege of going with my husband @anndreistefan to celebrate our friend @nicolaealromaniei who turned 40.
I kept thinking about how I could put into words the experience I had on the night of April 2nd.
The dress code was of course black tie. I put on my Audrey Hepburn-inspired outfit, and Andrei his elegant black suit and we were ready to celebrate.
It was unique, it's a place with a special energy!
The reception took place in one of Queen Maria's 3 favorite rooms, the "Music Room" where in the past "the sovereign listened to George Enescu, the greatest Romanian musician, and the pianist Cella Delavrancea", a room where I would have liked to be 100 years ago, but which still delighted me now considering my connection with music.
@nicolaealromaniei introduced us and told us about the wine he launched with his wife @alinamariaderoumanie, and then we tasted it, and @dulce_de_cosette "sweetened" the atmosphere even more with the refined cake and cookies made from carefully chosen natural ingredients.
@castelulbran is magical at night!
P.S. Count Dracula was not present

Yes, I wrote that in my previous post.

Romanian press about the birthday celebration

What do you mean - no pictures? There are photos of Philip and Danica at the party.

Liviu Popescu, Nicolae and Alina-Maria's friend at godfather at their wedding, published today photos from Nicolae's 40th birthday party.

I like the blue color and elaborate frosting decorations on Nicholas' birthday cake.

Hereditary Prince Philip of Serbia congratulated Nicolae on his 40th birthday. Philip referred to him as Prince Nicolae of Romania!

Asociatia Principele Nicolae:
"The History of Royalty in Schools caravan arrived in Reșița today. Nicolae was with students from the Mircea Eliade National College, the Traian Vuia Theoretical High School, as well as students from Babeș-Boyai University, Reșița branch, at the Banatul Montan Museum. We thank the sponsor and organizer of this event, LIONS Reșița Kindness."

His Highness's first meeting took place early in the morning at the Lira hall at the Sabin Păuța High School of Arts, where the prince was awaited by the teachers and students from the "Mircea Eliade" National College in Reșița.
As a representative and direct descendant of the royal family, Nicolae staged several of the milestones of monarchical history in Romania and the role played by his grandfather, King Mihai I, and his predecessors in the unprecedented modernization of Romania in the 19th and 20th centuries. His Highness answered the questions and the result of the dialogue about the history of the royal family was fascinating for both parties.
The visit continued at the Traian Vuia Theoretical High School, where he was welcomed with great joy and emotion among the students and teachers present. The conversation proved to be a true history lesson, a lesson about respect, life and the example in volunteering that Prince Nicolae himself offered from an early age!
The day ended with a meeting at the Museum of Mountainous Banat in Reșița.

In Resita:

In Oravița yesterday
Prince Nicolae received with a welcome for a Head of state in Oravița
His Royal Highness was welcomed with great warmth and respect by the students of the "Dragalina" High School, who prepared a special artistic moment at the "Regina Maria" Primary School to show the grandson of King Mihai I their appreciation and affection. The prince was received by the mayor, deputy mayor and the city manager, who emphasized the importance of the visit and the historical connection of the Crown and Oravița.
In the afternoon, His Royal Highness attended an event at the Caraș Valley Museum, where he was welcomed by supporters of royalty. Students from the Romul Ladea Junior High School presented an artistic program and gave roses to him.

Nicolae's handsome guest: Count Gregor Roy Chowdhury, son of a Hungarian countess and an Indian nobleman
The small nobility in Romania lives largely away from the spotlight, with many descendants of aristocratic families leading a discreet existence, both abroad and within the country.
This is the case of Count Gregor Roy Chowdhury, owner of the Zabola estate and one of the direct descendants of the Mikes family, a Hungarian noble family origin from the 16th century. Count Gregor and the royal couple Alina-Maria and Nicolae of Romania share a beautiful friendship, the latters visiting the famous tourist resort owned by the former whenever they have the opportunity.

Gregor Roy Chowdhury attended Nicolae and Alina-Maria's wedding and Nicolae and Alina-Maria attended his wedding with Countess Pauline von Hardenberg.

Nicolae's interview from March:

Prince Nicolae of Romania, received with royal warmth in the Danube Gorge!
Moldova Nouă experienced moments of deep emotion and pride, with the visit of His Royal Highness, Prince Nicolae, on a three-day trip to the Banat Montan. The grandson of King Mihai I was enthusiastically welcomed by the mayor, along with the entire community, in a gesture of respect and appreciation for the historical values and national identity that the Royal House of Romania embodies.
In a packed hall of the Multicultural Center on the Danube embankment, His Royal Highness delivered a very special speech, a true lesson in common sense, nobility and respect for the ancestors – from King Carol I and King Ferdinand, to King Carol II and His Majesty King Mihai I – outstanding personalities who contributed decisively to the construction of modern Romania.

Mihai celebrates today his 3rd birthday!
Nicolae and Alina-Maria at their Instagrams:
"Today, our little boy, Mihai, turns 3! A hug specialist, a champion at running around the house and a big fan of sneaky sweets.
Thank you for three years of pure love, sincere smiles, hugs that melt away any worries and the mischief that filled our house with life.
It seems like yesterday that I held him in my arms for the first time, and now he runs around the world with eyes full of curiosity and a big heart."
