Dear members,

Life is fragile. Our bodies are fragile and so are our souls. This past royal year has shocked us with unexpected illnesses (UK) and presumably well-founded suspicion of unacceptable crime (Norway). We were reminded of own illnesses, the suffering and loss of people we know and/or love, and of own experienced or witnessed violence.
The tragedies have occupied and captivated us – worldwide. For the royals – people! – involved the media spotlight and the global observation has exerted a special, perhaps even unimaginable, pressure on top.

But illnesses, bodies and souls can be healed, justice can be restored - with combined efforts but also with hope and confidence. 2024 has also confirmed this once more.
With that in mind we wish you a happy and healthy new year with lots of love, hope, strength and confidence!

Thank you very much. Season's Greetings to all the board members. Lets hope and pray that in 2025 we can look forward to more for our neighbours and greater peace on earth.

Dear Iceflower and the TRF team,

Thank you for this heartfelt and thoughtful message. Your words are a poignant reminder of both the fragility and resilience of life. The past year has indeed been a mixture of challenges and hope, and your reflections resonate deeply.

As we move into the new year, let us carry forward the lessons learned with strength, compassion, and optimism. May 2025 bring healing where it's needed, justice where it's due, and joy and peace for us all.

Wishing you and the entire TRF community a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year filled with love, health, and hope.

🌟🎄 Warmest regards 🌟🎄

That was a really nice post, and part of why it’s good to be around TRF.

I would also like to wish everyone a merry christmas and a happy new year !! 🎄🌟

Being a member of this forum is just as fun now as when i joined in 2007 😊 (and there is not many internet-forums left where that can be said)… Looking forward to 2025 whatever it has in store for us :)

First, a big thank you to everyone who works so hard to keep this forum running smoothly!

It has been a tough year, both on the world stage and personally; but I am approaching 2025 with hope in my heart.

I will be on my own tomorrow for the first time ever - previous Christmases have always been with my family, my husband and/or my beloved cats. I mention this because I want anyone else in the same boat to know that there really are others in the same situation, and although you may be on your own, you are not alone! I'm going to make the best of it, be kind to myself and do stuff I enjoy, nothing major, just little things like watching a great 70s TV series I've discovered on DVD, some travel videos on you tube and if the current nice weather holds, going for a walk. It is a time for reflection and remembering but for those who struggle with Christmas, it is just one day and it will pass!

Wishing everyone a good Christmas and a happy, healthy, peaceful and prosperous 2025! :flowers:

Thank you Shady Lady for sharing your thoughts and remembering us that Christmas can be tough for those who are alone. I've once celebrated it on my own and did exactly what you mention - was kind to myself and did things I enjoy - and it was far better than I expected. So thanks again for encouraging others who might fear that experience and may 2025 be much better for you

Thank you so much! Hopefully it will be OK. I've stocked up on my favourite chocolate :)

I hope you have a lovely Christmas and a great 2025 too! :flowers:

I have just read this as we move into 2025, as time goes on our circumstances change, sometimes outwith our control. Head up, positive thoughts, adapt to the changes. I personally spent too long trying to make things as they were before and it didn’t work. Time now to make my own life.
Happy New Year , to all.
Let us hope for peace and goodwill to all.
May your God bless you .
