I must owe you an answer ( DK saying), because I don't really understand it either. We must get an answer from a real Norwegian. Unfortunately it's been a long while since Royal Norway was around, this would and is hitting him hard, so I wont blame him for not wishing to discuss this. Apart from the fact that he other things to look after now.But surely if they consider Marius as separate entity as NRF, there'll be reaction from the public towards him, not the towards the NRF. Or does it mean that Norwegians are so tolerant and forgiving that if there's a case of an ordinary guy committing serial rape in Norwegia making news, the Norwegians would behave the same of giving no reaction? (I'm thinking the French reaction over Gisèle Pelicot's case, but okay French aren't tribe, so they're different than Norwegians)
The way I see it as an outsider, the Norwegians public seems to see Marius as part of NRF, hence they'll turn blind eye for whatever he does if it means protecting the NRF. And good news for Sverre Magnus because this surely means he can do whatever he wishes with no repercussion since he's Harald's grandson would give him public's grace and his mother would also protect him with whatever she has.
If something similar were to happen in the JIF, at the very least we'd see public apology with dogeza.
If we look at comments in papers etc. people are not overwhelmingly supportive of Marius, nor particularly impressed with the way the NRF has handled things. But a smaller but not insignificant number of people use what I will call a "wait for the verdict" attitude.
