My guess is that it is psychiatric and that he’s had some sort of psychotic break and a psychiatrist will say he is unable to stand trial at this time. Or he’s having very serious withdrawal symptoms and the jail didn’t want the liability of treating him. Why he had to go to a hospital “east” is beyond me unless he’s an established patient there.

I am quite surprised Ingrid Alexandra joined her parents to visit Marius. She may be fond of him, and worried about him, but I think she should have stayed away, to distance herself from the scandal. She is the future of the NRF, and cannot afford to be dragged down by the failures of her parents and her half-sibling.

It still astonishes me when people want to surgically remove her from the taint of her family. She’s much too young and vulnerable and unprepared to do a Felipe or similar.
Has anyone faulted her for being a good child and sister yet? Her loyalty may cost her something at some point but I think people are concerned with bigger issues just now.

“You take the good, you take the bad, you take ‘em both and there you have the facts of life” as the song goes.

Yes. It was always clear that Ingrid Alexandra liked Marius. She must be worried about him, and she was probably there to support her father and mother as well.

She definitely likes Marius. In fact, she even publicly praised him in her birthday speech.

Ingrid is an adult now though and, no matter how much she personally likes/ loves Marius, or feels compassion for him, she has to have the common sense to acknowledge that raping 38 women, or dealing drugs, or hanging out with gangsters, if all those accusations are proven to be true, is not OK. In fact, more than that, it is fundamentally wrong and Marius ought to be punished for that, including doing jail time. Praising him as a good person and a role model should be out of the question for her, even if she "forgives" Marius on the grounds that he has psychological and drug addiction issues that affect his judgment.

In the end, I think it would be useful for her to take a clue from other families who had to deal with having criminal relatives , because that is what Marius is, if he is found guilty as charged.

Absolutely agree. People forget Ingrid Alexandra is only 22; and should not bear any responsibility of her parents actions on her shoulders. And if she did "disown" her family now and turns her back, there would be an outcry as people would say "blood is thicker than water". Damned if she does; damned if she doesn't.

She is 6-7 years younger than Marius, so the Marius she knows is probably not the alleged monster that we know him as. If/when he is found guilty, that is something she will have to work through, and I cannot imagine it would be easy for a younger sister to have to come to terms with, especially at the same time as what her own mother did too.

Well, that's because she's the golden girl for many people in a situation that the most dramatic and puritanical die-hard monarchists were shouting about and rejecting ever since the first sighting of MM.
The thing is, it became a reality and, moreover, it came to light, in the lifetime of those involved.
