LG is back staying with her parents at KP since Thomas died and I read that the King has given her first refusal to lease the apartment should anything happen to them, as it seem to be a comfort to be back in her childhood home. As usual I can't find where I read this but Charles and Camilla seem to be really supportive of her so I could believe it.

I have no trouble believing it either.
I've read that the entire family rallied around her after the devastating loss of her husband.

It is magnificent that Lady Gabriella has such supporting relatives!!

All of this makes complete sense. I just hope Gabriella is, in time, able to make sense of all of this, and finally move on mentally.

Oh gosh, how marked she looks now! Poor lady. What a difficult time for her.🙁

She looks slightly tired perhaps but the same as always. She has eyes like George V naturally I've noticed and with a bit of Princess Marina's look.

Yes she has a strong resemblance to her grandfather Prince George who looked like his father. She's all Windsor and her brother resembles their mother.

Yes, I think if you put pictures of Gabriella and her cousin Helen Windsor now Taylor at the end of a line with the great-grandfather first, then Prince George of Kent and their fathers to them you would see it. Helen is about 15 years older than her I think but she has the same eyes from George V. I think it's endearing to see the resemblance. For Frederick the same placing of pictures wouldn't work, there is no follow-through from Prince Michael's side.

I think she has some Glucksborg from Marina and Queen Alexandra because I saw the Greek Princess who married a few months ago who is her double or tripple third and fourth cousin perhaps looks like her in some ways.

Yes she does have bits of a few ancestors reflected in her looks.

I think Frederick is the only Kent grandchild where you don't see the married in side (Worsely/Ogilvy/Riebnitz) and a bit of Windsor, Glucksborg or even Teck from Queen Mary who's looks run through her family still but it can happen in any family, that's the mystery of genes.

Actually I disagree,.. about Freddie. I think he looks quite Windsor or even Hanoverian actually.

She is announced as 'Windsor' instead of 'Kingston'; am I right in thinking she has always used 'Windsor' professionally - also during her marriage?

Oh is. Father's an absolute copy of his grandfather George V too. Which I figure was Alexandra's side because he was a double of the Tsar.

Gabriella definitely brings her looks from her grandmother.

The ones who resemble Mary are all the Qieens decendents: Anne, Zara, Louise, Isla.

Lovely to hear that Gabriella has been made the patron of this initiative. The appointment sounds as if it is something she will be amply suited towards.

This is very sad if the tabloid has good source. I don't understand big business but it seems like a huge scale of money for a small company run by just two people. Sounds like a big risk deal taken perhaps he was under his expectation pressure make a big money for his career. Perhaps if the big one was pulled out the Princes Michael would have something to call on for financial cushion in the future years.

It takes something else after a husband died four months ago to smile and be bright at a huge event like this. I don't know many who could, she is very strong. I heard in the year or two before Tom passed or longer she was looking around and wanted to do more 'Royal' work or be known as a Royal more to the public (like her parents need of profile) although a very very long way down the sucession line so the plan was to continue in this way maybe and Tom's passing hasn't altered the course to give her a settled future after the big shock.

I'd imagine her birthdays are bitter sweet days along with other anniversaries.
Hopefully Lady Gabriella is getting strong family support and God bless her.

She is certainly young enough to be able to build a new future, She has been so outwardly composed over this last year, despite the terrible trauma she has undergone. I have always got the impression she is much admired and liked by the royal family . I like to think that the King is keeping a watchful eye and looking for possible openings for her.

She has much support protecting her and that will help her so very much. In terms of being a working Royal, a kings great grandchild and about 50 in line so it's not really something the public would find realistic in view. I think her parents have always felt a strong entitlement and talked in paid interviews a lot about their ancestry over the years and give a superior air from this (more than any other Royals) and don't have a connection to public opinion. From what I see great grandchildren of Kings and Queens build careers of their own generally and the family is very large now but even back in the 80's or maybe the 90's when they did Hola or Hello style interviews I read the mother in particular sounded like she thought her daughter was headed for a senior Royal role, perhaps Spain? She didn't baptise her daughter Anglican initially or didn't have her confirmed so she could change to Catholic (or maybe Orthodox for a greek prince) if she wanted or implied this.

This doesn't take away from the tragedy that it life changing I am just surprised since the time of the marriage about 1980 they look to have motivation to be in a senior role as if Michael was a brother of King Charles and there had only been two children in his family so would be very close to the center of it. That is more the seniority image they project as the parents, or their feeling of being superior within the system over the years. I find them similar to the York family in this they want to be at the top table as much as possible. From my view over the years here and in europe not all royals in wider royal familes are like this if they do duties or not and go to work.

Nice to see her smiling and having time with friends on her birthday. I’m struck by Hello having exclusive pics though.

Photographers are always around high profile eateries in London, especially the ones known to be frequented by royals and A listers.
