Today's engagement
Every year, around thirty people can follow a multidisciplinary training in security and defence at the Royal Higher Institute for Defence, a think tank of La Defense. Participants are senior Defence officers, but also civilians from other public services or civil society. The King welcomes this year's participants to the Royal Palace for a discussion on current security and military challenges.

King Philippe and president Pavel pictured during a royal visit to Strahov Monastery.
This Premonstratensian monastery was founded in 1140. In the complex there is the church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, the rare Strahov Library with a number of medieval manuscripts, maps and globes, the Baroque Theological Hall, the Classical Philosophy Hall decorated with frescoes, and the Strahov Gallery, one of the most significant Central European collections of Gothic painting, Rudolfian art, and Baroque and Rococo paintings.

I particularly liked this photo of H.M The King in the Theological Hall

And this photo with a nice view of Prague

IG Post

IG post about today's very moving activity:
The King takes part in the tribute to the soldiers who fought to liberate Pilsen, Stříbro and Tachov. For the first time, the Belgian and Czech heads of state attended the commemoration together. Afterwards, they met American and Czech veterans and the families of Belgian veterans, the last of whom died in 2023.

Here's a reel, H.M had a great time!

It's that time of the year!
The King welcomes students from the Six-Jetons primary school and the Dutch-speaking section of the European School IV to the Royal Estate of Laeken for a walk to discover the site's biodiversity.

Every year, hundreds of students from Brussels schools have the opportunity to discover the flora and fauna of the Royal Estate of Laeken.

King Philippe has inspected the new Cyber Command this week.

"It joins the Land, Air, Navy and Medical components and is responsible for the cybersecurity of Defense networks and weapons. The King visited Defense Headquarters this week to meet with Cyber Command personnel and participate in a flag-handing ceremony marking the creation of this new component."

And he chaired "a roundtable discussion on current financial and geo-economic challenges with members of the International Monetary Conference, a gathering of international leaders from the financial and banking sector, held this year in Brussels":

And yet another engagement today:

The King visited the Faculty of Rehabilitation Sciences and Physiotherapy at Hasselt University. Students showed him how they prepare for realistic and complex medical situations using new technologies.
