King lays foundation stone for religious complex in Taroudant
Taroudant - H.M. King Mohammed VI laid on Tuesday in the city of Taroudant (680 km south of Rabat), the foundation stone for a religious complex, affiliated to the Habous and Islamic Affairs Ministry, for a total sum of 36million dirhams ($4.7mln)....MAP

Tribute to The Kingdom of Morocco and to The Moroccan People
..In a letter addressed to the IRWF, His Majesty, King Mohamed VI, expressed his being "deeply rewarded and honoured in this context to receive i n Morocco the special medal you have conceived for this occasion".
This tradition was highlighted by Sultan Mohamed V (later known as King Mohamed V), who during the Vichy regime,expressed his unconditional support towards his Jewish subjects. According to verbal historical accounts, when a Nazi commander demanded to get a list of the Moroccan Jews, Sultan Mohamed V is believed to have retorted with the following phrase..MAP

King chairs Council of Ministers in Casablanca
Casablanca - HM King Mohammed VI, accompanied by Prince Moulay Rachid, chaired, on Monday, a Council of Ministers in the Royal Palace of Casablanca.
The council examined and adopted the 2010 Finance Bill and the organic law on the Economic and Social Council, a Royal Cabinet statement said.

El Jadida - HM king Mohammed VI chaired, on Tuesday, the official inauguration ceremony of the Second Horse Show of the Atlantic city of El Jadida (190 km south of Rabat).
The show is due between October 21 and 26 under the theme: "A Second Edition to Glorify the Moroccan Horse Heritage".
Subsequently, the monarch watched several shows on equestrian arts as well as exhibits of Moroccan fantasia, locally known as Tbourida.

These are brilliant initiatives from His Majesty The King, God bless him. The Koranic schools in rural communities and in cities are really the right way to go. Especially that these students not only get the sacred and mandatory Islamic education but also benefit from a rich curiculum of all the essential classes.
Sports are for that matter complemantary to the education of a human being, teaching us all the necessary discipline that is essential to our health.

:previous: it's so nice to see the king out there in these far area,Imilchil Region is one of the most poor area in the high Atlas and they really live a hard very hard conditions during the winter with snow,the cold and all,so been there to know about them,hear from them and spend some days with them it's really good,I am sure they are so thrilled and excited by the king visit.

just to clarify, apparently it's a thank you gesture from the king, who was touched by the fact that nicolas and carla invited the royal family for tea one afternoon when the king's brother was hospitalized in paris. maybe there are some meetings between the heads of state planned? i hope pictures of carla and lalla salma or the kings' sisters arise.
