I read off the link within the Instagram captions

Crypto is something I find confusing, I guess this person with the young prince is in charge of this new business venture for the kingdom. My mind went to the movie The Last Emperor and the prince's English tutor when I saw them walking side by side on those links.

Today, King Jigme and Queen Jetsun Pema were conferred honorary doctoral degrees by Chulalongkorn University, Thailand at a ceremony held at Chulalongkorn University in Bangkok.

 
What reason/excuse was given for giving them this honorary doctorate? Why do both of them deserve one?

His Majesty was awarded the Doctor of Philosophy in International Development Studies in recognition of visionary leadership in advancing peace, inclusive development, good governance, youth empowerment, and innovative national initiatives, as well as in strengthening international engagement and Bhutan–Thailand relations.

Her Majesty was conferred the Doctor of Philosophy in Sociology and Anthropology in recognition of distinguished service in promoting social well-being, environmental conservation, public health and mental well-being, inclusion of persons with disabilities, and grassroots economic development.

The family attended the "inauguration of the Ugyen Norlha Chorten and the groundbreaking ceremony of the Gelephu Chorten- significant milestones in the development of Gelephu Mindfulness City (GMC)" today, February 21:




 
Today King Jigme, Queen Jetsun Pema and members of the Buthan Royal Family visited the Gelephu International Airport this morning to inspect progress on the ongoing construction work. King and Queen and Members of the Royal Family then joined the volunteers of the 5th Zhabtog Programme working at various sites across Gelephu Mindfulness City. Later, The King granted an Audience to GMC guests, who accompanied His Majesty on a visit to Gelephu town.
 
I always love how much royal duties are a family event in Bhutan. There is not such a concept of 'senior royals'. The king's siblings but also their kids are at events. I also love how much we see the royal kids, and not simply in birthday photos, or a holiday event, like some European counterparts
