Today, King Jigme conferred the DeSuung Gold Pin, Bhutan’s highest award for voluntary service, on Dato Adam Htoon in recognition of his support to the Bhutan Medical Assistance Team in Myanmar following the earthquake of 28 March 2025.

 
Today, the King Rama X and the Queen Suthida of Thailand arrived at Paro International Airport, the Kingdom of Bhutan. Welcomed by the King Jigme and the Queen Jetsun of Bhutan, and members of the Bhutanese Royal Family on the occasion of the State Visit to the Kingdom of Bhutan at the invitation of His Majesty the King of the Kingdom of Bhutan during 25-28 April 2025.

This is the first state visit by King Rama X of Thailand.

King Rama X and the Queen Suthida of Thailand viewed the parades, processions, and cultural performances welcomed by the King Jigme and the Queen Jetsun of Bhutan, the members of Bhutanese Royal Family, and the people of the Kingdom of Bhatan at Tendrelthang Festival Ground, Thimphu.

Day 2 of Thailand's state visit to Bhutan:

Today, King Rama X and the Queen Suthida of Thailand presided over the Buddhist Prayer Chanting Ceremony performed by 74 Thai, and 74 Bhutanese monks at the venerated site of the Buddha Dordenma. Welcomed by the King Jigme and the Queen Jetsun Pema of Bhutan, and the Bhutanese’s people.

King Rama X and the Queen Suthida presented sixteen sacred Buddha relics to the King Jigme and the Queen Jetsun Pema of Bhutan for placing at the venerated site of the Buddha Dordenma. To serving as powerful spiritual symbols of devotion, royal friendship, and unity between the two nations.



In the afternoon, King Rama X and Queen Suthida of Thailand with the Queen of Bhutan attended an Exhibition on Collaboration between Royal Projects of Thailand and Bhutanese Counterparts as well as exhibitions of the products of the One Gewog One Product (OGOP) project at the Dechenchholing Royal Project in Thimphu.

King Rama X and Queen Suthida of Thailand received King Jigme of Bhutan in audience at the Pemako Thimphu Hotel in Thimphu.

Day 3 of Thailand's state visit to Bhutan:

Today, the King Rama X and the Queen Suthida of Thailand with the King Jigme and the Queen Jetsun Pema of Bhutan viewed and enjoyed the Bhutanese customs, arts, cultures including the traditional archery and games, handcrafts, textiles and garments at Lingkana Palace.

This afternoon, King Rama X and Queen Suthida of Thailand visited Kaja Throm Market to view local products such as food, handcrafted products from farmers and artisans, as well as dance performances. They were received by Prince Jigyel Ugyen Wangchuck, Prince Jigme Dorji Wangchuck and Prince Ugyen Jigme Wangchuck.

 
King Jigme and Queen Jetsun Pema of Bhutan on Monday bid farewell to King Rama X and Queen Suthida of Thailand on the occasion of their State Visit to the Kingdom of Bhutan, from 25 to 28 April 2025.



On Monday, April 28, 2025, before leaving Bhutan, King Rama X and Queen Suthida of Thailand, with King Jigme and Queen Jetsun Pema of Bhutan, paid homage to the image of Shakyamuni Buddha at Dungkar Dzong in the city of Paro.


Before leaving Bhutan, the King and Queen of Thailand, with the King and Queen of Bhutan, visited the Royal Academy and viewed exhibits on Gelephu Mindfulness City, a key project in Bhutan.
